Alois had ended up dragging Y/n around to all kinds of different shops. He had this certain charm to him that Y/n found oddly attracting. Maybe it was the way that he kept her close to him at all times, or even the way he simply smiled at her.

Y/n found it wasn't that hard to fake her emotions around him, he just seemed to be able to pull the genuine ones out of her. She wasn't quite sure if that was a good thing or not.

Right now they were dining at a simple cafe. Alois had brought her here claiming that they made the absolute best tarts ever. So here they were.

"So?" Alois queried, leaning forward in his seat watching in childlike excitement as Y/n tasted the tart.

Y/n met his eyes before dropping her gaze back down to the tart. "Yuma's taste better."

Alois stared at her for a few seconds, a look of disbelief on his face. It wasn't ten seconds later before he laughed.
Y/n looked back up at him abruptly, still not used to his (to her) completely random bursts of laughter.

"You're just saying that cause you don't want to admit that I was right. That, that was indeed the best tart you have ever tasted." He said with a smug smile on his face, still giggling.

Y/n pulled a face and Alois stopped laughing immediately. He stared at her with wide eyes. Then his lips quirked up in a smile.

"That was a lovely expression, can you make more?"

"What?" Y/n asked, a bit shocked. She hadn't realised she had made a face.

"I bet I could get you to make more expressions like that," Alois said in a challenging tone.

Y/n crossed her arms over her bust and raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that?"

"Confident. I've already seen you smirk, be a bit surprised, not to mention that funny face you made just a second ago. So, yes I'm sure."

Y/n noted how he didn't mention her smiling even though she flashes him false smiles a lot.

Yuma chuckled, interrupting their little moment of silence. Y/n glanced up at her butler wondering what made him laugh. Alois scowled when her attention was transfered to her butler instead of him.

"Pardon my interruption," he said with a slight bow to Alois, "but it appears to be getting late."

Y/n's eyes widened when Yuma showed her his pocket watch. She hadn't realised that she had spent nearly four hours with Alois.

"My, where the time went," Y/n stood, Alois quickly following suit. "I should go retrieve our horses."

"Let me accompany you," Alois suggested, not wanting to part with the young maiden just yet. Y/n eyed him for a minute.

'So persistent....'

"Alright." Alois smiled when he heard her answer.

"Wonderful!" He exclaimed, offering his arm to her. She gently took it and started to walk.

They were silent majority of the walk, something that made Alois very displeased. So he decided to break the admittedly comfortable silence.

"So," Alois said, smirking when Y/n looked up at him. "Have you fallen for me yet?"

Y/n almost laughed. Instead the corner of her mouth turned up slightly. He could be so random at times.

Alois gasped, surprising Y/n. "I got you to smile!?! Bloody actual hell!"

Y/n shook her head defiantly, not believing that she had, in fact, just smiled.

"I knew that I could get you to make more facial expressions! This must mean your getting more comfortable around me! I'll have you falling in love with me in no time!"

Y/n looked down at the ground as they continued the walk, ignoring the look she just knew Yuma was giving her. Alois continued to ramble on how she has such a beautiful smile and that she should do it more often.

Finally they made it to the edge of the town, close to where they left their horses.

"Yuma..."

Yuma looked at his young mistress, smirking at her flustered state. He didn't know if the Trancy knew it or not, but he had made his mistress quite embarrassed. "Yes, Mi'Lady?"

Y/n didn't look at her Butler as she ordered, "Go retrieve the horses please."

Yuma bowed his head and stalked off.

"Alois," The young Lord immediately looked to her, excited that she was talking to him again. "Thank you for the date, I had fun."

"You know it doesn't have to end! You could come back to my Estate and stay there for a night. I can send Claude to return your horses and retrieve some of your clothes."

"Oh, I couldn't possibly-"

"Of course you can! Besides if I plan on marrying you, you have to get used to your soon to be home!"

Y/n sighed while shaking her head, exasperated.

Just then Yuma returned, holding the reins to two beautiful stallions. Y/n gazed at Alois, debating.

"I have a present for you, I think you'll love it. I'll only give it to you if you come though." Yuma raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. It wasn't his place.

"A present?" Y/n questioned. To be quite honest she was weak to surprises. She couldn't help it though, she was curious.

Alois nodded his head rapidly, smiling. "Yep!"

Y/n debated on what she should do for a few minutes. On one hand, she could go back home, not see the surprise, and enjoy the rest of her night in peace and quiet. On the other hand, she could go with Alois, see what he had gotten for her, and then most likely enjoy the rest of the time she spends with him.

The decision wasn't that hard to make.

"Alright Alois, I'll come."

Alois squealed. "Yes! I promise you'll have lots of fun! Claude, return these beautiful stallions to their home," at the order Claude bowed his head, mumbled yes, my Highness, grabbed the reins to the horses and disappeared.

Alois turned to Y/n, smile ever so present on his face. "Come my darling, the carriage is waiting."

'My darling?' Y/n thought, grabbing his arm that was offered to her. Yuma smirked and shook his head.

They were certainly in for one hell of a ride.
