Avery Carter smiled at her swollen belly, being seven months along she was quite big. Her husband had left that morning to attend to some important business meeting that was out of town. Though she loved her husband, he tended to be a bit suffocating.

Yuma Jinx walked into the room, smiling at his Mistress.

"You've recieved a package," Yuma said. Avery looked away from the window and towards him, curiosity twinkling in her eyes. "The deliverer informed it is from the Phantomhive Esate Head Mistress."

Avery smiled, thinking of her good friend Rachel. Yuma set the package on the table.

"It is most likely a gift for the baby." Yuma informed, with a slight bow of his head. Avery walked over to him, her silk dress sweeping across the floor gracefully.

"No doubt," Avery agreed. She eagerly opened the box, excited to see what her dear friend had given to her. Inside was a note which she picked up to read first.

This is a little something I wanted to give you for when your little bundle of joy is born. I know I was thrilled when I had Ciel. I look forward to meeting your daughter Avery. Vincent sends his regards.

From your dearest friend,
Rachel~

Avery smiled. While she wasn't for sure on what the gender would be, her and Rachels mother intuition picked up and they were positive she was going to have a girl.

Handing the paper to Yuma for him to read, she peeked back into the box before gasping with joy. Reaching in, she pulled out a stuffed fox.

The fox was beautifully made. It was a fiery orange and was soft to the touch, most likely a Phantomhive original. Knowing Rachel, this was probably the only of it's kind.

She shared a knowing smile with Yuma, who in return smirked, eyes flashing a deep grey.

Placing the stuffed fox aside, she reached back into the box, pulling out the second gift.

It was one of the most softest blankets she had ever touched. It was tiny, no doubt the perfect size for a newborn. The color was a beautiful shade of grey, and at the corner of the blanket the child's name was emmbroided in bright pink colors.

Y/n M/n Carter~

That was the name her and Emmit had come up with if their child was a girl. Emmit was set on the fact that they wouldn't know the gender until the child was born. But he didn't know what Avery knew.

He didn't know that her kind's first born was always female.

Yuma once again smiled at his Mistress who smiled back, eyes turning the same shade of grey his had earlier.

Emmit smiled, looking down at his wife who held their new baby in her arms.

"I told you it was going to be a girl," Avery said triumphantly, albiet if not a bit tired. After all, the process of giving birth is a very long and exhausting one.

Emmit roled his eyes as he sat on the edge of the bed. "Alright dear, you were right. May I hold our child now?"

Avery smiled softly and passed the newborn, who was swadalled in the blanket that was a gift from Rachel, to her husband. The newfound father stared down at his daughter, pride showing on his features.

Avery leaned back, closing her eyes. A knock sounded at the door and Emmit grunted his permission to enter.

Yuma stepped in immediately, closing the door behind him. He would have been in here already, aiding his Mistress, if Emmit hadn't ordered him out saying 'No other man besides a doctor and me should see my wife like this'.

Yuma really detests him. He's seen Avery in way worse conditions.

His long legs had him in front of the bed in a few strides. "How are you fairing My Lady? Anything you need?"

Avery smiled hearing the concern in Yuma's voice. "I'm fine Yuma, just tired."

Yuma nodded then questioned, "What about the young Mistress?"

Emmit finally looked away from his daughter and up to his wife's butler. He stared at him, suspicion in his eyes. "How did you know that it was a girl?"

Avery looked at her husband with a scowl, not approving of the way he addressed Yuma with such suspicion. Yuma looked at him and saw that he was holding the beautiful baby girl in his arms. Yuma gave him a closed eye smile.

"Master Emmit, I passed the doctor on the way here. He said he would like to speak with you."

Emmit frowned but stood, giving his daughter back to her mother. He kissed the top of her head and left the room.

Yuma quickly looked at the baby in his Mistress arms. "She's beautiful My Lady."

Avery smiled. "Would you like to hold her?"

Yuma nodded and gently took the baby into his own arms. Not liking being passed around, baby Y/n whined and opened her eyes, showing off beautiful (e/c) eyes that were speckled with grey.

She gazed into Yuma's eyes, unblinking. Reaching up with her tiny hands, she tugged at his black locks. She giggled, showing him a gummy smile.

Yuma smiled softly and looked up towards Avery, who was already smiling at him.

"Yuum! Yuum!"

Yuma looked down when he felt a tug on his pant leg. A sixteen month old
Y/n stared up at him, one arm holding his pants and the other one wrapped around her stuffed fox.

Yuma smiled and crouched down. "What is it, Young Mistress?" He questioned softly.

Y/n, with her now free hand, pushed her thumb into her mouth. She only wore a diaper and a pink, cotton shirt.

"Mama?"

Though she was barely two, Y/n was an extremely bright child and could communicate with others pretty well for her age.

Yuma chuckled, picking up the young girl and setting her on his hip. He started walking once again.

"She is outside, I'm surprised she didn't take you out with her."

Y/n reached up and tugged at his hair. "I 'leeping." She told him, keeping a firm grip on her fox along with his hair.

Yuma smiled as she started to talk about her dream, mainly speaking gibberish, not knowing a lot of words she needed to know.

Walking out into the garden, Yuma immediately spotted Avery and made his way over to her.

"Lady Avery," Hearing her name, Avery turned. She smiled, seeing her daughter, who was still being held by Yuma.

"Mama!" Y/n called, reaching her arms out to her mother. Avery held out her hands, taking her daughter from Yuma.

"Look Y/n," Avery said turning back towards the flowers she had been gazing at. "Aren't the flowers lovely?"

Y/n looked to see what her mother was talking about, and there was stood batches of (f/f)'s.
