Y/n sat on her bed, watching Yuma go through her clothes with an amused smile on her face. He always did fuss over what clothes she wore, but today he was on a whole other level."Just pick a dress Yuma, it's not this complicated." Y/n said, a smirk on her face.
"No! The young Lord said to dress comfortably but there is no doubt in my mind that he still wants you to wear something appealing. So I have to pick a dress you find comfortable but is still cute."
Yuma glanced over his shoulder, his gaze sharp, as if challenging her to question his motives once more.
"Now then," Yuma turned back to the closet. "It is getting a bit more chilly out, not to mention the on and off rain, so your dress needs to be able to keep you warm."
Y/n shook her head, exasperated.
She thought about what she should tell her father, or if she should even tell him at all.
She doesn't want to feel pressured into marrying Alois, because honestly she felt attracted to him and she didn't want her father to ruin that attraction by rushing her.
So the best option was to pretend she doesn't have a father and just leave. But Alois is picking her up, and there is no way her father won't notice.
"What shall I do, Yuma?"
"Not worry. I'm taking care of the dress, so as you said there is nothing to fuss over."
"No! What shall I do about my father?"
"Ah," Yuma said, finally finding a dress that was to his liking. "That is a tough one, M'Lady."
He grabbed the dress and walked over, a thoughtful look on his face.
"You can just tell him that you are going on a date and if he wants you to marry then it would be best that he not interfere."
Y/n stood, letting Yuma undress and dress her as she thought about what he had just said.
"How long til Alois arrives?"
Yuma looked up from straightening her dress. "Not very long."
Y/n nodded, slipping on her shoes and heading towards the door. She opened it, turning back to look at her butler who just stood in place, staring at her.
"Come along now, let's go inform father of my date."
Yuma chuckled softly and quickly followed his Mistress out of the room.
Y/n clutched the skirts of her dress as they walked towards her father's study, not exactly looking forward to telling him that she was going on a date.
She wished she could just slip out of the mansion, but alas, her father actually cares to know what his daughter is up to. Especially when it concerns a man.
Y/n sighed, preparing herself for the argument that could and most likely will break out between her and her father.
She knocked on the door to the study, waiting for her father to grant her permission to enter. Once she heard his gruff 'enter' she opened the door, walking in with Yuma trailing behind her.
"Father," Y/n said as a way of greeting, "I am here to inform you that I am to go on a date today."
Emmit looked up from the paper's on his desk, giving his daughter his full attention.
"Oh?" He queried raising an eyebrow. Y/n nodded, still clutching the fabrics of her skirt. "Who is the lucky gentleman?"
"Earl Alois Trancy."
Emmit nodded. "So you plan on marrying this Earl?"
Y/n licked her suddenly dry lips, not liking where this conversation was heading.
"As long as you don't interfere with anything it is a high possibility."
"Interfere?" God, she hated this man at times.
"Yes, interfere. I don't want you asking me about him, mentioning anything to do with marriage until my birthday, as we have agreed."
Emmit leaned back into his chair, eyeing his daughter with sharp eyes. He considered her words for a few moments, not breakimg eye contact.
"Fine Y/n, you have my word."
Y/n nodded curtly, quickly turning so that her father didn't see the small smile creeping up on her face.
She left his study, no longer clutching the fabrics of her skirt. She quickly went back to her room, sitting down in front of her mirror.
Yuma chuckled, walking over to his Mistress. He took her hair out of it's updo, letting it fall free.
"I believe the young Lord will be much more happy with your hair down."
Y/n shook her head, fighting back the smile on her lips. She stood, swatting away Yuma's hand.
"Lets go into the garden and wait for Alois to arrive."
Y/n left the room once again, heading towards the staircase so that she could go to the garden. Yuma quickly followed behind.
Yuma opened the door to the patio, stepping aside to let his Mistress exit first. Y/n sighed when the fresh air hit her face, breathing in the smells of nature.
Y/n smiled and walked towards the patches of (f/f). She bent down, smelling them. These were her mother's favorite flowers as well.
"I belive I can hear the sounds of a carriage approaching," Yuma said. Y/n paused, listening for the sounds that her butler had heard.
"Indeed," Y/n said, finally picking up on the sound of hooves trotting and wheels moving against gravel.
"Will you go greet Alois?"
"Of course Mistress."
Yuma left the garden, going around to the front of the Estate to greet the Lord. Y/n sighed, mentally preparing herself for the date that was about to ensure.
She listened to the sounds of wheels stopping. Then Yuma greeting Alois and showing him to where she sat in the Estate garden.
Once Y/n saw Alois, she stood, turning to greet him.
He was smiling joyfully, icy blue eyes glistening with affection. Affection that was directed towards her.
He took her hand, bringing it up to his mouth and gently pressing his lips against her knuckles.
"My Lady," he giggled, "You look absolutely stunning! You haven't eaten anything, have you?"
"Only breakfast and lunch."
"Perfect! Come, my darling, our date awaits us!"
