Ember

Chapter 2:

(Ember PoV, Time skip 3 days, in Poland.)

I decided to head to Poland and chill for a bit, I need to lay low so Rainbow gets off my trail. I was decided to go into Rainbows servers again, see the new news I could use. It took a bit longer but I got in. I Decided to not tell Six this time. I Decided to look through the missing operators Since its been updated. Operators Ash, Ghost, Bandit, Lesion, Dokkaebi and Frost all went missing in Poland. Why the fuck did I come here? Anyway I decided to start looking at possible locations, there's 4 strongholds that have a high chance of having them. But I have information that they don't. only one of them is a Prison. They keep their hostages there for torture. So that is probably where they are.

I decided to set off towards this stronghold, Delta followed me, I silently started to make my entrance, taking out White mask Guards on my way to the prison block. I started hearing talking. "So, Y/n Chandar, you are quite the spectre aren't you." "Fuck off you white mask cunt." "I love the British nature, Swearing only gets you so far."

"Now, Grace Nam. You will be pleased to hear that your father got saved 4 days ago. But don't worry, we will have him again soon. You I didn't manage to get any information on, But you I did, Dominic Brunsmeier. Drug lord of Rainbow. You are another one I didn't manage to get information on. And last but certainly not least, the Jewish attacker, named Ash. Is that antisemitic by any chance. Hahaha, oh Eliza Cohen, when we find your family I will love torturing them in front of you. I've heard your brother is dead. It was by my assassins by the way."

Once I heard Eliza Cohen, I started seeing red again, and Delta could see this. I ran into the room and grabbed that white mask by the throat, I started smashing his head on the wall, I then threw him through a table. I then used the Cell door to smash his head in. he was still alive. I put on my voice changer so Eliza doesn't know its me. "Hey, I've got an idea, Delta. You hungry girl?" I heard her growling as she slowly walked into the room, I took him out and said, "Go fetch." As I threw him into a different room. I could hear the screams and tearing of flesh.

I walked back into the room and started punching the wall. Releasing the rest of my anger. I checked for blood and there wasn't any. Good, I don't want them to know me. I released the Rainbow operatives and showed them the armoury, they grabbed their guns and we took this stronghold down together, Frost and Eliza looked in the room where the torturer lay, barely recognizable. I could see them both gag and almost throw up, "Grow up, you've seen worse." I said. Delta joined next to me as we killed White mask after White mask, I let my built-up rage out and viciously destroyed multiple white masks.

I started leaving when Eliza stopped me. "Don't move, come with us. Please." She begged, she used to do it when we were younger. "No, I work alone." I said, I started walking away when she started to beg me more. "NO ELIZA COHEN, no. I do not work well in teams anymore. Now I'm leaving." I shouted, she stood there and looked shocked, I saw tears swelling up in her eyes, now I felt fucking guilty. I always felt guilty when I made her cry when we younger. "FUCK Ok ill come along, but I'm not promising anything, like joining your merry band of misfits." I said, her entire mood changed "Delta, call up their exfil." I sighed. I sat down by myself with Delta next to me, she spoke through the comms and I muted my mic so they couldn't hear me.

"She's your sister isn't she?" Delta asked. "Yep. I feel so fucking guilty for leaving them when I was 22. A failed assassination made gave me an excuse to be off the grid." I explained. Delta nodded and I heard a helicopter come in. they landed in the courtyard and they jumped on, but Eliza was making sure I had actually jumped on myself. I did, Delta followed me. I decided to keep quiet and sit off the side of the helicopter, I strap me and Delta in and he sets off. The entire ride was fucking awkward. I didn't answer any questions they asked. I decided on staying hidden. All of my information, I made sure it was deleted, everything that happened to me in that stronghold.

We arrived back at their base and I was met with guns in my face. Delta quickly disarmed them before I was off the Helicopter. "Delta, Play nice." I said. She looked at me, "But sir, they were aiming at you." She said, still confused. "I know but its because they don't trust me, like I don't trust them." I replied. "Nice work though." Once I said this, she lifted her head up and her tail started wagging.

"So Six, what do you want, and please hurry up so I could leave." I said impatiently. Still with the voice changer on. She then signalled me to follow her. We walked into an office and Delta followed me.

"So ember, I want you to join us here. You will get everything the other operators get, you won't need to do the simulation and you don't need to attend training. That's a lot more freedom than the rest get." She said, to be honest I'm debating joining simply because I don't want Rainbow following my every movement, and I know I won't be able to leave now I'm here. And I also know Eliza will probably figure out who I am if I stay. This is really I 50:50 split right now.

"Fine, ill join. But I'm not giving you any of my information, and I mean ANY. No blood samples, no name, not even a fibre of hair. And if any of your operators piss me off, I will knock them out. Understood?" I said, I was leaning over her desk and she seemed a bit scared from this. "U-Understood Ember, please sign here." I quickly read the contract and signed it. "Where do I sleep?" I asked, "In one of our new Dorms. Here's the key, I'll get someone to show you." She said, "No need, I have delta." I said, I walked out and Delta followed, she led me to our new room and I closed and locked the door. I kept my mask on and decided to just sleep.

"Why the fuck did I agree to join?" I asked to myself out loud. "Delta, don't tell anyone who I am and don't release any information about me.
