Chapter 12:

(Ember)

It was the next day, time to meet the Recruits we will be training. Yay. I got up at 6, like usual, I got out of bed without waking Grace up and get into the shower, I then got my gear on and sat down tinkering on my Grapple, it was being inaccurate, so needed to adjust it. I also tinkered on Delta, her Grapple wasn't firing at all and the Flamethrower refused to work. So I got them working and then realised it was 7:30, so I decided to wake Grace up and wait for her to grab a shower and get dressed.

It was 8 AM when we arrived at the Cafeteria, Thatcher and Kaid was already there, ahs came in after me and Dokkaebi. We started eating and were waiting to be told where we will go. We waited till 9, still talking and having fun till the intercom buzzed to life.

"Can the Rainbow operatives please report to the training grounds."

"Well that our cue, lets go." Thatcher said, we nodded and stood up, I grabbed my helmet and put it on. We walked towards the Training ground and saw 25 recruits stood in a line, we then saw a UN official, different from yesterday. We walked up and introduced ourselves. I am only known as Ember here. Which is good.

"Right, for a first training match, we are going to do a 5 v 25. Any questions?" The Official said, "Yeah, can Delta sit this out, she may end up killing a recruit." I said, some recruits looked scared. "Yeah, she can stay out here in the command tent with us.

"Ok, lets get ready then team." I said turning around, "Wait, are we attacking or defending?"

"Attacking."

"Right let's wait here team." I said with a little laugh. We sat down in the Command tent. Delta came up to me and looked at me. "I'm sorry but I'm not risking you killing recruits Delta, just wait here you can watch us." I said, she looked sad but nodded, then jumped up on a seat and stared at the screen.

We waited a bit till the Officials said we can enter, Ash and Dokkaebi started Droning behind cover whilst me, Thatcher and Kaid looked at the windows waiting for peaks, and sure enough they peaked. They didn't last long.

"16 Defenders remain."

"Got eyes on the hostage, heavily defended room. 6 recruits are in the room, 2 in opposite corners, one behind the hostage and the other three keep changing location." Ash said, we got up and breached the main entrance. "Ash, once we breach you and Dokkaebi go to the left side, Thatcher and Kaid, take the right. I'll take the basement." They nodded and they breached main entrance, I went to a Basement entrance and breached there.

I took out 3 recruits who were stood there, looking at the stairs waiting for them to come down. A recruit almost took my head off but I moved out of the way and took him out quite easily.

"8 Defenders remaining."

"[Got their cams.]" I heard Dokkaebi say, I met the other 4 on the second floor. "Right, that's the room but there are still 2 missing recruits. Lets breach, take the hostage, and get out." I said, they nodded. We set up as me and Ash at one entrance, Thatcher and Kaid at another and Dokkaebi on cams trying to find the other two. We breached and took out 4 of the 6 in the room, one managed to hit Ash taking her out but Kaid finished of the final two.

"2 defenders remain, 4 attackers remain."

Thatcher grabbed the Hostage as I grabbed Ash. We then exfiltrated through the Main entrance, the other 2 recruits came out and tried to shoot us but got gunned down by Kaid and Dokkaebi.

"Attackers win."

"Well that was fun." I said as I placed Ash down. Delta came running up to us. Then the official. "Bravo team Rainbow, Bravo. Now ill leave you all so you can get to know the recruits you are training." He said before walking away. We looked at the recruits.
