***** My Hotel Room, Seven-Thirty *****As I'm doing my last-minute packing my thoughts turn to the visitor from last night. If she was a spirit from Elkmont, then it took a lot of energy to come this far and make an appearance. That means there's something very powerful there, and if it sent her to scare me off, then it doesn't want to be found.
A knock at the door brings me back to reality. Closing my eyes, I smile. "Come in Anissa." She opens the door and leans against the frame with her arms folded.
"How did you know it was me?" I just look at her and grin. "Never mind." She shakes her head and continues into the room. "I stopped by to see if you needed any help with your bags."
"Thanks. I'm running a little behind, " I say as I hurry into the bathroom. "I didn't sleep much last night."
"Too excited about the trip?" She asks as she zips one up.
Grabbing my stuff off the sink I hurry back into the room. "Well that, and I had a visitor."
Anissa stops what she's doing and turns to me. "Did Nolan bother you last night?"
I can't help but laugh. "No, not him." She looks puzzled.
"Then who?"
"Just a spirit."
Her eyes widen as she sits on the bed. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah, it happens sometimes."
"Okay... What did it want?"
"I'm not completely sure, but I think it came to warn me, " I say as I continue to pack.
"About?"
"Taking this trip." I zip up my last bag and sit down beside her. "Relax, it's not the first time a spirit has tried to scare me." She just sits there staring at me like I've grown horns.
"Come on, " standing up I grab a suitcase. "Let's get going before they leave without us."
She picks up a bag and follows. "Okay, but you'll tell me if you see anything else, right?"
I look over my shoulder and grin. "Maybe."
"Lauren, " she closes the door and chases after me. "Lauren, I'm not kidding."
"Neither am I."

Exiting the building I find the guys waiting at the back of our van. "Good morning ladies. How did you sleep?" Dillon asks.
I hand Nolan and Mark my bags. "About like usual." Anissa gives me the look before handing Mark my last bag.
"And you?" Dillon asks.
"Fine, I guess." She gives me a nudge urging me to tell Dillon.
"Not now," I whisper. Dillon notices but doesn't say anything.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Robert asks as Mark shuts the back doors.
"Let the adventure begin!" Nolan exclaims.
"Yeah!" Anissa shouts as they high-five each other.
I don't have to be psychic to feel the excitement in the air. That is, everyone but Robert. As he holds the door for me I sense very mixed emotions from him. Then again considering his history, and what we're going to investigate, I guess that would be normal. But... With the world I live in, what's normal?

**** Sometime Later ****
Feeling the sensation of falling I open my eyes and see nothing but darkness. The wind rushing past me heightens what I'm feeling as my heart pounds in my chest. Suddenly crashing through the ceiling I land on a wooden floor.
