Apparently, confessing your love to someone doesn't mean commitment. That's what Lea realized when she saw pictures of Bea and Aga together on Instagram.
The two looked happy together in those pictures, and the press were having a field day out of it. Aside from the pictures being re-posted on other social media sites, there were blind items about the two of them. It was Dayanara, all over again.
----
(1996)
They have been together for a few months now. Everything was still under the wraps. They both believed that what people don't know, they can't ruin.
There was very little that changed in the dynamics of their relationship.
Aga had always been outspoken and open about his projects and plans for the future, so there was no problem with him syncing his schedule with Lea.
Lea, on the other hand, wasn't used to someone asking about what she was doing or where she was going. It had been the start of a few arguments, but fortunately her boyfriend was understanding.
But today was the exception to that.
Lea had a recording today that she forgot about, and because she did not remember until this morning, she didn't have the chance to tell Aga about it. She was in the middle of recording a song when the producer knocked on the window of the recording booth. She removed her headphones and mouthed 'Why?'.
" Your phone has been ringing for almost 10 minutes now. Baka importante. " he answered over the microphone. He then pointed to Lea's bag which was sitting on the sofa outside.
She was low key pissed. She was almost done with the song, but now she had to sing it again, from the top, because of her stupid phone.
She took her phone out with grudge, and read the number on the screen. It was an unknown number, which fueled her annoyance further. It rang again, so she answered it and prepared to give a piece of her mind to whoever was calling.
She wasn't prepared to hear her boyfriend's voice.
" Hello, Lea? "
" Babes? " she called out in shock. She suddenly remembered that they agreed to have dinner tonight. She slapped her forehead. " Shit, babes. Nakalimutan ko. "
" Kanina pa ako nandito, Lea. " he answered, anger obvious in his tone. " Ano na namang commitment ang hindi mo naalala? "
" Babes, i'm sorry. " she said sincerely. " May rehearsal pala ako ngayon, and I woke up late this morning, so I didn't get to tell you, pero patapos naman na ako. Just let me finish, and then i'll go there. "
" Don't bother, Lea. " He snapped. " Dalawang oras na akong naghihintay sa'yo. Magkita na lang tayo pag naalala mo na akong isingit sa oras mo. " He dropped the call after that. He didn't even say goodbye.
Lea wanted to hit herself with her phone. It was the first time that she heard Aga that angry. It was reasonable, though, as this was the second date that she forgot this month. She knew that he had every right to be angry.
She told the producer that she had to go after recording the song once more. Luckily they already have enough material for editing, so she was allowed to go. She sang the song with as much emotion as she could, making the last take much faster and easier.
