After the whole incident City left. She's been calling me and Cillian both to tell us she was fine but when we asked where she was she didn't tell us.

We both tried her school and she hasn't missed a class but somehow we're missing her. We ask around and nobody really knows her except the teachers of course. She was a star student in most classes.

Soon enough we left, people don't know her and I dont want to cause trouble for her. Neither does Cillian I hope.

I was doing my daily shifts at the cafe, struggling to keep my eyes open because I hadn't slept in about a day.

Just then City walks in and my eye couldn't close. I rushed to her table taking her order. She was there with a guy. An old man-looked important so I stayed out of it. But I started at her as I took her order.

The first thing I noticed was that she cut her hair. Short and curly suits her. She looks cute as always.

My heart fluttered but soon stopped at the sight of Percy walking in and so
thing next to the old man. I walk away and give Ma the order as I listened in.

"This is Percy, he'll be your boss."

My blood boiled-wait no that's the tea. But I was angry! That jerk. In charge of my cupcake. The old man leaves and I bring that table.

"You're that girl that told me to shove the shoe up my ass!" He shouts. Everyone in the cafe looks back at him.

I smirked and walked away. "Let's hope that doesn't get the way of the job, I'm pretty sure if you didn't get in my way I would've had a better job." She scolded.

She's so cute. He nodded. "Do you maybe want to see me after the meeting?" He asked

Did he just ask her out? "Sir." She opened her mouth as I made my way to
the table shouting, "She's taken."

Causing everyone to again look back at the three of us. The city got up and pulled me outside.

"I can handle myself. I'm trying to get a promotion here." She says I ignore her "Where have you been? I miss you. Cillian misses you. You look great, I love your new haircut. Where are you sleeping? Come back home."

She rubbed her eyes and said, "I'm fine, don't worry about me."
"It's difficult not to, City, I love you. And you're scaring me."

For a minute she said nothing. But then she pulled me into a hug and said, "I think...I need space."
