"Screaming, I began to notice the current's speed was increasing... and I couldn't swim...
I realized that eventually I was going to plummet into the rapids below me, and when I did, if I were to land anywhere, the stone in my head was likely to shatter. My time was running short, so I frantically groped for literally anything in my reach, I saw something, a branch or vine, I didn't care then, I grabbed hold of it and pulled myself onto it. Gasping fanatically, I shimmied my way across the branch onto the tree trunk, where I timidly slithered downward onto the ground, which was solid.
I stood up, moved one of my legs forward, and fell to the ground. I pushed myself up again, and picked up what appeared to be a strong rod of some kind. I propped it under my shoulder and began to move my feet, while leaning on it. It took a few attempts to get going, but eventually, I was well on my way. I continued to teeter along until I thought of something, every time I took a step, I would follow it up with another step from my left foot, eventually, I needed to put less and less pressure on the rod, until I let it go. I stood there, balanced. I decided to try it, I put one foot out, and landed on it, and put my other food forward. I lost my balance for a few seconds, but I regained it, I continued to move, at a faster pace, until I was running at a good speed. Then I heard a noise in the distance, ran back even faster, grabbed the rod and ran away. It was pure adrenaline, and I was shocked I could do that, and then I collapsed.
I awoke some time later, the star that illuminated the planet was still up, and I set off at a brisk pace, and at nightfall I came upon a field of what I would later call "Peritwinkles." When I first saw them, I admired the glow that reflected off of them and the many overlapping shades of blue on them, the main color on it I decided to call "Periwinkle" because it rolled off the tongue. I silently watched as florescent beetles flew out of the forest and looked like the other stars in the sky. I sat down and looked at the stars, seeing them. I contemplated that they didn't affect me from my placement on this planet, so I assumed they were far far away. I contemplated the fact that I was small and insignificant, with the universe so large and vast, I was no more then a grain of sand to it. I wondered if there were others like me, ones that could think as I did, walk as I did, and question things. I would never fit in with the tiny world below my feet, and with the other creatures, they were all real, and what as I? I was a projection of a stone embedded in my forehead. I had that I could glow when I tripped and I suddenly flared as a result of this. I continued to stare into the black abyss, and realized that even if I am small, I can still make a difference-
Crash!
Jeremejevite turned, a look of disdain and disgust on his face, and then stopped when he stared at the now still Blue and Yellow Pearl, who were staring back.
"How long have you been here?" he asked.
"Since you've been narrating, you've been very good at it, and we've been televising it to Homeworld." Yellow responded.
"Oh my stars, you mean that everyone can SEE ME in this form?" he asked, his face mimicking that of an earth artwork called The Scream.
"Yeah, but keep going, one of our things fell over and we put it back up."
"Can you... just... not have a camera? I don't appreciate being filmed- Wait, why are you backing up, wait, this will work, you can just keep doing that." he responded, with a sigh of relief.
"Now, where was I, oh yes, 'I can still make a difference, my size doesn't matter, its the things that I-'"
Thonk!
"Sorry!"
Jeremejevite took a big inhale, still looking very unimpressed, resumed his story, "As I was SAYING, 'Its the things that I do and the beneficial impact I have that matter the most.'
