"Engage injection...

A couple billion years had passed by, and now we were space faring, taking to the stars and assimilating planets into our race. Even though our original planet had long died, we continued to make more gems, using one planets full potential at a time, making a variety of gems who were very skilled at certain things. But we had also come against the threat of revolution, and after several fought off repeated Rebellions, the main state, the strongest state, aptly named the Star as the rest of Gem colonies orbited it for orders and guidance, was weakened. Leaders had risen up, only to have their small towers of influence crush below them as they were brutally overthrown by new ones. Even the Star was divided. I was still one of the leaders of the remaining Rooted Faction, but we knew we wouldn't last, not for long, at least.

"Fighting is useless to us, we stand no chance." A Peridot echoed as she walked through the halls of the building we had, "What we need is unification, a leader to come under."

"Even then, would we agree on how they should be, everyone has a differing opinion," Kyanite said, a tall, slender, robed figure who served as a mediator in the field of battle, and who served as a judge in her off time with her fellow Kyanites, "What we need is undefined, clean-cut perfection."

"As much as I would like to agree with you, we can't arrange for such a thing. Perfection is only achieved off the failure off of someone else, who will that be? Just because we have a flawless leader, it doesn't account for the society we live in!" Ambrosia piped up. While most of the Ambers of the first generation had turned inwardly and become more stoic in manner to match their same gem counterparts produced later, Ambrosia was still a fiery individual with passion.

"Perfection is the only thing that will unify everyone! We can't have all of these factions work in a democratic manner!"

"Why not?" An Aquamarine questioned.

"Ugh, look at this," She then pulled up a screen, "While there have been other democratic factions, most have succumbed to gems taking power, and the ones that do succeed are quickly overthrown. We can't do that, it would get corrupt or it would be too weak to hold off fending attackers. We need a beacon to home to, someone to serve as an inspiration..."

"A beacon..." I said, an idea formulating, "What if we were to form a leader who had more grandeur, more presence, much more capable gem than any of us who could understand everyone's side, everyone's belief, and come to a conclusion for they are perfect."

"Why... that's-"

"Insane! Who are you to say that only one individual can judge our choices without knowing our motives, our stories, us?!" Ambrosia shouted in fury.

"It's no different than Kyanites role, so what do you have to say to her, hybrid bug?" a Later Generation Amber shouted. Later Generations were smaller than us, but they had far more prowess and no organisms sacrificing themselves for consciousness, and often referred to us as inferiors.

Ambrosia was taken aghast, "You little-!"

The table then erupted in fury with loud discussions on either sides with some threatening and some persuasiveness, I was unsure what to do, so I sat and watched this. Kyanite quickly became engulfed in frustration, and then drew her gavel, swung it upward, and hammered it on the table so hard it formed a dent and sent a shockwave throughout the room.

"Everyone! That's enough from all of you! You're acting irrationally!", Kyanite emitted a exasperated moan as everyone slowly went back to their seats, and she began to speak,

"Now, I shall use an analogy to describe my conclusion from this. We are made of light, and I presume we know that white light is a wavelength of all colors in the spectrum intermingling into one. So, what if we used all of the colors to represent all sides because of the colors used to define them, if one individual could understand and emphasize with all of them, they would achieve perfection."
