Miss Bustier finished with explaining the syllabus for the new year. "Those of you who have P.E., Mr. D'Argencourt is expecting you in the courtyard. The rest of you can head over to the library." She added.
"KIM!" A large male student with frosted tips yelled frustrated with another student.
Miss Bustier wasn't to keen on him loudly interrupting the class. "Ivan, please go to the principal's office."
Ivan walked away fist clenched, he knew there was no point with arguing with Miss Bustier. Marinette
felt bad for him. Ivan always appeared tough with his Avenge Sevenfold shirt and stern expression but he was a sweet guy.Marinette and Alya left to head to the library for study hall followed by Nino. "Girls, wait up." He had his Raycon earbuds in and missed Miss Bustier's brief. Nino wrapped his arm around Marinette as soon as he caught up to her. A little jealous that Marinette chose to abandon him. He took this opportunity to introduce himself to the new girl. "Names, Nino."
"Alya."
"You want to join me and Mari for slurpies after school? Mari's buyin'."
"Sure that's sounds like fun."
Marinette was a little upset that Nino invited Alya. She didn't mind the company it's just that Nino only invited people to join when it was her turn to treat. "Or we could go get Andre's ice cream."
Nino glared at Marinette. "You promised me, you weren't going to bring that up again."
"Oh, come on. So, he didn't give you ice cream that matched the girl you like. Get over it."
"You hyped it up with the story of your parents." He opened the library door for the girls.
Alya looked at the two and putting two and two together. "Nino by any chance is Marinette the girl you like?"
"Marriii? Whaaat? No." He said pulling his hat down trying to hide his embarrassment. He got caught.
Marinette kinda laughed off Alya's question. "I'm his best friend. He would of told me if he liked a girl especially if it was me."
Alya furrowed her thick brows at Marinette's answer. "That's not usually how that works. I know I just meant you both but could he be afraid of ruining the friendship?"
Before Marinette had a chance to think, there was loud thud that shook the floor causing Alya and Marinette to loose their balances. Nino prevented Alya from hitting the floor since she was closer. "Ouch." Marinette said as she had scraped her elbow on a bookshelf attempting to save herself.
"Earthquake?" Nino asked as that was a logical explanation for the sudden change of stability.
"KIMMM!!" A voice roared then another thud as the voice grew louder so did the thud. Kim had ran in the library scared for his life. Alya pulled out her phone hoping to get whatever was happening on camera.
A large stone creature broke through the library walls. It looked determined to hunt down Kim. "KIMM!!"
"It sounds like Ivan." Nino stated as him and the girls hid behind a book shelf.
"It's as if he's been transformed into a real-life supervillain!" Alya was super excited. No way was she was going to pass up the chance to be Lois Lane or lose her chance to get swept up by a real life Superman. The stone monster looked around not seeing his target and turned around. "GPS, check. Battery, check. I am so outta here!"
Nino looked at Marinette and then chose chased after Alya. "Where do you think you are going?!"
"Where there's a supervillain, there's always a superhero close behind! No way I'm missing this!"
Marinette knew this creature was most likely caused by the Peacock or Butterfly Miraculous. Her grandfather trained her for this very moment. She unzipped her bookbag and quickly realized her miracle box was missing. She knew that she brought it with her incase of an event like this. She then decided to backtrack her steps. Hoping it just fell out and nobody stole the box or tried the earrings on.
