Things were frantic at the Alpha house. Blake's father and Joeys Uncle rushed over immediately. The men were locked in my fathers sound proof office, along with Dustin, Blake, and Joey. It was strange having them included in these situations. Dustin was to take over Alpha in about a month so they all were preparing for the change.

I only got a glimpse of Blake as he rushed in with his dad. He gave me a distressed look before following to the Alphas office. I needed to talk to him, and soon. It wasn't fair to string him along.

After furiously scrubbing all of the blood off me I was bombarded by my worried mother who analyzed me head to toe for any scratches.

I sat at the kitchen island while my mom attended to her Luna duties. She was busy making coffee and snacks for the men while working on dinner at the same time. She kept herself moving trying not to show the concern she felt for the near future. I didn't miss her occasionally give me curious glances as I stared into oblivion.

"So are you going to talk to me, or continue to look like you've seen a ghost?"

My eyes drifted to where she stood, arms crossed, giving me the stern mother face.

"Talk about what? I'm fine."

"Oh sweetheart, did you really think I wouldn't notice that something was up with you?" She walked around the island and pulled me into a hug, the kind only your mom could give you. "You don't have to tell me right now. I just want you to be okay. I don't like seeing you stressed."

"There's just a lot going on right now." I told her, which wasn't a lie.

"I know. Everything's going to be okay. Daddy will take care of it." She kissed the top of my head before continuing her tasks. "Would you like to bring this in to them?" She asked, motioning to the large tray piled with snacks and a pot of coffee. A small smirk was on her face, knowing how desperate I was to get in there.

I was quick to take the opportunity to listen in. Even if just for a moment, I was going crazy being in the dark. During the phone call with Lucas's father, my dad kicked me out of the office. I barely got to hear anything.

I felt left out. I was just as much the alphas child as Dustin was. Why the fact that I was a girl made a difference was beyond me.

Not only that but I was anxious to know what was going on. This involved my mates pack as well and I couldn't help but feel nervous for him.

I couldn't hear anything that was going on inside the office, I was mentally cursing whoever invented werewolf leveled sound proof walls. I knocked twice on the large door and a moment later it opened to a curious Dustin.

"What are you doing here Len?" He raised a knowing eyebrow.

"Just delivering food to you hungry men. Carry on I'm not listening." I smiled sweetly and pushed past him into the office. They all had grown quite and were giving me curious glances as I sauntered in.

"Hi daddy." I grinned and placed the tray on his desk before hopping on it myself. I looked around purposefully avoiding Blake whose gaze I could feel burning a whole in my head.

"Hello kitten. Where's your mother?"

"Cooking dinner I think." I shrugged.
'
"Why don't you go see if she needs help?" He not so subtly attempted to kick me out.

"Nah. Carry on." I told them. Joey gave me a knowing smile as he stood up to grab a few cookies.

"Please princess, this is not business I want you to worry about at the moment." My dad tried again which earned him a glare from me as I hopped off the desk.
