Chapter 9

Jisoo POV
"Hey! Watch out!" I heard someone cry out before feeling someone pull me back by my jacket. And a second later, a car whizzed, leaving me dumbfounded as my jaw hung open in shock. I pulled out my earpieces and turned to look a my saviour. She was about the same height as me and she wore a fair amount of makeup, her eyes were round as she looked wide eyed at me in fear. She then let out a huge sigh of relief before frowning at me, her cheeks puffing out as she did so.

"You need to look out for on coming cars! How can you be so careless? Had I not been here earlier you would've gotten into an accident." She huffed as she crossed her arms around her chest, her cat like eyes glaring daggers at me.

"I- " I said as my hands shook slightly in fear and shock, still trying to regain my composure after the close call. "Thank you." I thanked before bowing towards her in gratitude.

"No problem." She said, rather smugly, before her brows furrowed in concern again. "Hey, are you alright? You look shaken."

I nodded before swallowing painfully, before slowly pulling myself together. The girl thought for a moment before grabbing my wrist and pulling me along with her to who knows where. "Let me go," I mumbled as I tried to pull myself out of her grip.

"Nope." She said, popping the "p". "I know a good place." She dragged me towards the park before making me sit on a bench that faced the pond. "Now wait while I go get something." And with that being said, she walked away to another direction, leaving me baffled as I sat there in silence.

After what seemed like an eternity, I felt someone sit beside me. I raised my head and the girl grinned before passing a cup of ice cream to me. Raising my brow in confusion, I asked, "how do I know if you didn't spike it?"

The girl gasped before taking the cup of ice cream from my hands, "I'm offended! I saved your life." She pouted as she frowned. I couldn't help but chuckle at her before I gently took the cup of ice cream from her hands. "Alright, alright, I'll eat it." I scooped up some of the sweet treat into my mouth and I turned to face her, only to find her staring at me.

"What?" I asked, suddenly very self aware.

She gave me a gummy smile before saying, "nothing. I just think you're pretty." I choked on my ice cream, and she patted my back gently, laughing as she did so. I felt my cheeks flush and heat up thus I began to stuff my mouth with more ice cream, hoping to cool down.

"Do you have a relationship?" She asked as she cocked her head in one side. I shook my head before coughing in embarrassment.

"Shame. You're cute." She smiled.

I smacked her shoulder, "flattery will get you no where."

She let out a short laugh before she introduced herself. "I'm Jennie, Jennie Kim."

"I'm Jisoo, Jisoo Kim."
