Rosé POV
"Rosie? Rosé. Rosé!" Someone called as I felt them shake my shoulder. Grumbling, I slowly opened my eyes, hissing as I felt a massive headache. Y/N looked at me awkwardly. "We need to get ready for school." She gives me a small smile, "here." She says as she passes a packet of painkillers. "For your headache." Thanking her, I quickly got dressed before heading back to where the others were.

"Morning Rosie!" Lisa greeted cheerfully.

I frowned, "you don't have a headache?" Lisa shook her head before she continued stuffing her face with pancakes. I slid into a seat beside Jisoo, who looked like she was dozing off while stabbing a piece of pancake mercilessly with her fork. Jennie places a pancake onto my plate before seating next to Y/N with a sigh.

"Kim Jisoo. If you don't want to eat, next time I wouldn't make your share." Jennie chided. Jisoo's eyes widened at the threat, she then proceeds to stuff the rest of her breakfast as much as she could, in her mouth. Lisa laughed loudly as Jisoo coughs while choking on her own saliva. Jennie sighs once more before passing Jisoo a cup of water. I looked at Y/N, who was awfully quiet. Confused, I cocked my head to the side as I observed her. She had a frown pinned on her face while she picks at a piece of pancake like Jisoo had previously done.

"You too Y/N." Jennie grumbles as she watches Y/N pick on her food. Y/N let out a chuckle before she began eating. She looked up and we made eye contact for a spilt second before Y/N quickly looks away, face flushed as she busied herself in helping herself to more pancakes.

"We have to hurry or we'll be late." Jennie reminded us and we nodded in acknowledgment. That's when I realised, I didn't have my school books with me. I didn't take any of my books with me when I was thrown out by my mother. I felt a pang of guilt hit me. Ive been living off Y/N's money. Once we were done, the plates were quickly scrubbed clean before we were about to head out.

"Guys," I called out timidly. The others looked at me in confusion as they picked their bags up. "I don't have my books with me."

"Oh, right." Y/N mumbled. "I'll follow her to get her books. You guys go ahead."

"Alright then," Jennie nodded, "hurry though." With that, they bid us farewell before heading out.

"You can go with them you know." I told Y/N.

"Yeah, no way am I going to let you go back home alone. Not until I'm sure you can be safe at home." Nodding gratefully, Y/N and I made our way down towards my apartment. Raising a trembling hand, I took a deep breath before knocking onto the door. The door swung open before I was greeted with my mom's cheerful energy and Jaeyoung, who was laughing with her. As soon as she looked at me, her face fell before morphing into a look of disgust.

"Why are you back?" She growls before looking behind me at Y/N. "You've brought a pest home."

I felt anger boil in my blood as she said that. It's okay if she wanted to insult me. But Y/N has done nothing wrong to her, she has no rights to judge Y/N or call her names. "To grab my school books." I say through gritted teeth.

"Wow. I admire your bravery to go back." My mother says sarcastically.

"Thank you." I flashed her a forced smile before turning to Jaeyoung. "What are you doing in my house?"

Jaeyoung was about to reply when my mother cut him off. "Jaeyoung here is taking care of me today. I've fallen ill and my only daughter wouldn't even bother to do so. She would rather run off with some pest. And this isn't your house anymore. Grab your stuff and go. Be quick about it." My mother spat. Well, she doesn't look ill to me. Grumbling, I dashed into my room before grabbing my bag and stuffing my relevant books. As I made my way out, I see Jaeyoung whisper something to my mother before they both looked at Y/N and laughed, causing Y/N to fidget uncomfortably.

I felt my anger rise and I stormed over to them, shoving my shoulder against Jaeyoung's deliberately. Causing him to stumble slightly as he was caught off guard. Before my mother could yell at me, I grabbed Y/N's arm before storming off.

As we made our way to school, Y/N walks silently beside me. I still kept a firm but gentle grip on her arm as we walk, not wanting to let go.

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked Y/N, not used to her silence.

"Huh? Oh! Yea, yep. I'm fine." She replies before laughing awkwardly.

"You seemed troubled. Do you want to talk about it?" I asked, "if it's about my mother or Jaeyoung, please don't get upset over that. You're far better than them."

Y/N shakes her head, "no. It's not about them." She says softly. After a while of silence, she spoke, "do you remember what happened yesterday?"

I thought for a moment. I don't recall much from yesterday. Just a few memories here and there. Like fun time we had shopping, or when Jisoo, Lisa and I got wasted. I sighed before I quickly washed up. But there was something that happened that I couldn't remember. I knew something happened because I could still feel the lingering feeling of someone's lips against mine. Strawberry. The lips were coated with a layer of strawberry lip balm. Was I in a club? Did someone take advantage of me yesterday? It couldn't be one of us.

"No. Why?" Y/N shakes her head again before sighing. As we neared to the school gate, I felt my heart race as panic kicked in. Y/N must've saw me tensed up because she asked if I was okay. Nodding, I smiled to reassure her but she glanced at my trembling hands before taking one of them into hers.

"You'll be fine. Trust me." She says as she rubs the back of my hand with her thumb. Nodding, we both walked into the school campus.
