"Hey Jack. Where are you going?" I stopped and turned. I stared at the three boys sitting there. I walked up to the table and stared at them. "What do you want?" I asked them. "Just to say hi." Oliver said. "That's not all." Devin said and I tilled my head at him. "What are you talking about?" I asked him. "He he. She don't even know." Devin said. "Devin, you better just spit it out." I said to him. "Or what?" Harold asked. Harold was a taller, older boy. Raven hair and brown eyes. Cause a lot of trouble from what Felix told me. "I'll tell you." Devin said. "Don't you dare." Oliver whispered. "Ok then. I'll just--" "Oh no. it's good trust me." Devin said over me. "Really? What?" I asked. Oliver hit him in the arm and I just watched them. We never really left the island did we? "Harold will you tell her." Devin said. "No, I won't. This is way more fun." Harold said. "If you say so." I said.
"What are we talking about?" I turned to see Matt standing by the door. "Hello Matt." I said. "Oh, hello Jack." He said back. "See you found what you were looking for." He said, pointing to the corner. "Yep, but the boys said they had something to tell me, but Oliver doesn't want me to know." I said to Matt. I'm not stupid, I knew what he wanted me not to know, with that red face of his. The way he keeps looking away from me. "You going to share with the class or are we going to keep bugging you?" Matt asked him. "Not telling." Oliver said. "Ok, whatever floats your boat then." I said. "Oh, come on Oliver." Devin said. "Don't do it. Leave him alone." Harold said to Devin. "Why?" Devin asked back. "Cause you're annoying me." Harold said. "No one asked you." Devin said. "You did a minute ago." Harold said. "I'm not annoying." Devin said. "You are." Harold said. "Oliver?" Devin asked. "I'm staying out of this." he said back. "Matt?" Devin asked. "You don't want to know what I think, trust me." Matt said back.
"Jack?" Devin asked. Oh shit. "Ya, Jack. what do you think about Devin?" Matt asked. "This is stupid and pointless." Harold said. "Come on Jack?" Devin said. I rubbed my head as I stared at them. "Well I bet she hates you." Matt said. "I bet she loves me." Devin said. "Oh ya she's so in love with you. Head over heels. Ya sure, that's going to happen." Harold said. "Well I bet she likes me more than she likes you." Devin said, he was making a scene. "Oh ya sure she does." Harold said back. "You want a bet?" Devin said, standing up from his seat. "I'll do more than a bet." Harold said back. "Ok, maybe we should all just sit down and--" "I'll bet you she's say we're friends first." Devin said. "I'll bet she's never be friends with you cause of the way you fought the heros." Harold said. What am I an object? "I'll bet she'll be my friend first." Oliver said. "Oh ya, sure. That will happen." Harold said. "She's never be friends with you. You're too-- you." Devin said. "And she's never be friends with you cause you'll just fight her on everything." Harold said. I feel like I could change the word friend to a different word and it would still have the same effect.
"You want to go?" Devin said, grabbing Harold. "Ya, I'll take you on and beat your sorry ass." Harold said. "Guys, guys. Stop fighting, we're in a public place. You're causing a scene." I said to them. "Who the hell cares?" Harold asked me. I felt an arm around my waist before I was pulled slightly away from the table, as there was a loud bang on the table. "That's enough." Felix said and the four of them sat down. Without a word. Felix pulled me away from them and we sat down. I sat next to him as people stared at us. The boys were talking in nor more than a whisper. "I see they all fear you." I said. "Not all of them." he said and I looked up at him. He smirked at me and I shook my head. "Have you had breakfast yet?" I asked. "No." He said.
I stared down at the bacon and eggs in front of me. Or was there. They were good. "My God. Did you know there's something like cradle cap? Babies get that on their heads. It's a crusty, yellow, greasy, scaly skin rash. Seriously, this book uses all of these words." I heard Snow say. Henry looks so bored. "Gross." Henry said. "Yes, devastated him." He said a second later. "You know, there's a library down the street. We can pop in get you something, if you'd rather. I know how much you love reading." Snow said. "How do you know that?" He asked, not looking up from what is in his hands. "Your mom said." Snow said. "Cool. Let me go get my coat. I'll be right down." Henry said, getting up. I watched him walk off. "Don't." Felix said. "I'll doing it." I said. I quickly got up and walked over to Snow. "Oh hello Ann." Snow said. "Hello Aunty. Mind if I spend some time with Henry?" I asked her. "Uh... I don't think Emma would... you go ask him." Snow said.
