Chapter 7:
Note: the pars written in italics are her flashbacks.

He had an offer. A sick, twisted, undesirable offer.

But did I have a choice? Especially when he used my dear Riley as a motive to my acceptance.

I could have easily refused, I had nothing to loose. I had no home, for all I knew my mother had died that night, my father probably drank himself to his despair (Or else they would gave come for me, right? ) and my only friend was bost probably in the clutches of hell, as I speak.

So why deny the cold arms of death?

Erebus offered me to work for him. At first I was sceptical, but soon I understood everything much more clearly.

"I stole from you, why would you try to help me?"

"Indeed, you stole from me. From the mafia. A little homeless girl managed to sneak past the most most feared mean, for barely three grand worth of cocaine? Now my only question is, why?"

His grip on my arm was stronger, and somehow the temperature of the room dropped.

The conversation went on for some time, with me trying to convince him that I'm not a junkie and him trying to get me to speak the 'truth.

Then it went back to the offer... Like any person with a decent sense of what's right and what's wrong, I decided to do what seemed right. So I declined. But Erebus could be very persuasive.

From being inches away to the man who held my life on the tip of his fingers, to being drowned in a tub of vile liquid. Soren held me under the water until it began to creep into my lungs, only to pull me out and toss me back in.

Erebus stood there, muttering words of 'encouragement' everytime I was brought back to gasp for air.

"You want this to be over, don't you? Just say the words, give in and this would all be over."

I could barely hear a word he said. My ears echoes with my chocked screams as water drenched by body and spilled through my coughs.

"Let's be rational here, maybe this is good for you."

The audacity of this bloody monster!

"You train with me, and you'll get a house, food, clothing and the life you've always wanted."

What's the use of living that life when it's not with the person I plan on living for. But it's what he would want... it's always been out dream.

"And you know what's the cherry on top? You get to choose your first target."

That's what got to me.

Erebus went on feeding on about me being a 'little homeless girl' and how there must be some flame seeking revenge in there.

And how right he was.

Riley. I could save him.

So I gave it, and within record time a middle aged woman came in. She carried in a little bag, and tried speaking to me, asking me to stay awake.

But at that time, I couldn't. My ears were buring from the old water, my coughs were giving off blood and I could no longer breath. My lungs were inflamed, and pain from being held in awkward position felt like flames.

I felt something cold againt my skin, as the room became blurry. I heard ripping of material and the faint echoing of voices before my body gave out.

Hi, yes it's me. I know, I know. I wasn't supposed to update, but I was dying to get this outta the way.

Now things can finally start coming together.

What are your thoughts on Erebus?

For those who can't pronounce it, its: E- rA- bis
I hope that it makes Sense.

Any ships so far?

Any questions?
