William
I walked in the kitchen. She was fixing the peanut butter cookies on the cooling rack. The sweet smell clouding the room.
I looked at Adrianna, I think I've been in love with this woman for more than twenty years. More than my ex wife, I believe.....me and Paulette divorced 23 years amicably, raising our children in good spirits. Andy quietly moved to the fridge and opened the doors, reaching for the cake.
"Hey....lemme help you." The kitchen was set in the back of the house. The party in full swing towards the living room. You can hear the laughter and jokes the cousins were constantly throwing out.
Andy looked back and gave me her quiet smile. It always made me feel as if she was thinking up of a master plan that only she knew about. I saw the large red velvet cake, she was gonna try to pull out in her own.
"Beautiful women don't lift a finger. You already did the hard work....." I smiled chewing my gum. A habit I picked up 17 years ago, when I quit smoking.
Shit is hard.....
"Thank you...." Andy stepped back with that smile. Taking the cake out, I placed it on the kitchen island.
She moved to the kitchen counter and picked up the small plates. I waited til Andy came to the kitchen island. Leaning against the island, I moved my face close to hers.
"Why you acting shy and quiet all of a sudden?" I asked her quietly. Andy looked up at me, that smirk still on her face.
I find it so sexy.....
"I am not." She turned to move back to the kitchen counter, where the pans of foods she had catered laid. I stood up and walked behind her, boxing Andy in between the corner of the counter.
"Yes you are....." I mumbled in her ear. "Now, you wanna still act like we keeping us a secret. They all know and to me.....it looks like they aight with it. So give me some attention......" I kept my voice low, just how she like it.
Andy scoffed lightly, "Stop....."
"No." I kissed that spot where her neck and shoulder meets. I felt that shiver. Andy always wanted to be so calm and cool, but I knew otherwise.
"Will....." She hissed quietly.
"Adrianna...." I kept leaving small kisses across her shoulder. The laughter from the front of the house, flowing lightly in the kitchen.
It was Khyree's birthday and with those three THC eating junkies, I gotta say it's entertaining. She turned around and we stood face to face. I smiled at Andy, while chewing my gum.
"I'm not hiding us, I introduced you to them and you even talked with Bray alone. So how am I acting like I'm hiding us.....?" I looked down at Andy.
When Frankie introduced me ti Andy and her twin brother, Andre.....I was immediately attracted to Andy and I wanted to get know her. I had just won a congressman seat and making moves to run for mayor in the following two years. Frankie was running for senator and making her moves for congressman after me. Then to mayor.
That was my best friend, my sister and we was gonna take over Boston and uphold the law the right way. For everybody. Not for what people think they could get they ass out of because they got money and connects. Our brothers taking up jails for nothing and the real criminals walking around free. That's what got me where I'm at now. I see the bullshit.
As a criminal defense lawyer, I look at everything. On both sides. I could read a person like a book. That's how I was able to put a lot of these assholes in jail where they belong, the cops who thought that they could carelessly get away with the accidental deaths, where in fact they were too trigger happy and felt like they had the power. Starting from being a lawyer to Governor today, that hard work and dedication paid off and I had nobody to answer to for my decisions. My only boss....the president. Me and Duke, we aight.
