'I'm not the drunkard kind'

Saturday seems to take forever to come, but when it does I am ready to party. Katniss and Annie are around mine and we are going to help each other get ready. Even though Katniss and I hate going shopping there is no limit on how good we wanna look.

Annie has bought a brand new mega short summer dress, whenever she bends over you immediately see her knickers. She doesn’t really care; she’s planning to wow Finnick tonight.

Katniss and I stick to the sporty but sexy look; coloured, ripped shorts and cropped tank tops. We finish off our outfit with a pair of coloured Converse’s; mine Blue and Katniss’ Green.

Katniss’ puts her hair into her signature braid but I just leave mine down. Annie leaves her down to but curls it. Then we work on makeup.

After we are finished it is five to six and time to go. I shout goodbye to my dad and he replies with a small groan.

“Ready to beat the boys Clove” Katniss says as she gets into the driver’s seat of her convertible.

“Totally, we are going to kick their asses. They’ll be sorry they ever underestimated our talent”

We both laugh before Annie urges us on from the back seats.

We arrive at the beach in seconds and get out of the car. As we walk through the crowd Glimmer runs up to us in a very short nude coloured dress. She already looks very drunk. Marvel appears behind her soon after.

“Hey guys, you made it” she says, her words slurring at the ends. She gives as all a big hug and puts her arm over Marvel’s shoulders.

“Yeah” I say, trying hard to stifle my giggles “Where are the boys?”

“Everywhere, there are boys everywhere” she says confusedly and Katniss smiles.

“Where are Peeta and Finnick?”

“Oh, over there, next to that big net” she says before turning to Marvel and giving him a big kiss on the lips. He doesn’t care and seems to respond gratefully.

“Thanks” Katniss shouts before bursting into fits of laughter.

We spot the guys and head over to them quickly. They are talking to Thresh Carfella, he is big and strong, and Gale’s best friend. He usually dates cheerleaders.

“So yeah, and she’s no longer a virgin” I hear him say and have to bite my lip to stop me from bursting into fits of giggles.

“Oh hey Clove, how’re you?” he says flirtatiously. I look at the can in his hand and know immediately that he is drunk.

“Fine, you”

“Brilliant, oh, my dates here” he says as a red girl I recognise from the cheerleading squad waves at him from about ten metres away. “See ya Pete, Finn”

Once he is gone I see Peeta put his arm round Katniss and glare at Thresh.

“I swear if he calls me that again, I will kill him”

“Calm down Pete, you’ll lose against a girl if you get worked up” I tease

“Right, that’s it, now we are definitely winning. Come on Finnick”

Finnick nods before stretching his arms and legs. Then he whips off his shirt so that everyone can see his rippling abs.

“Keep your hands off my man” Annie screams to a couple of girls who are eyeing up Finnick. I burst into laughter before grabbing Katniss and pulling her over to the court.

We play for at least half an hour before Katniss manages to whack the ball over the net and into a corner out of their reach, causing us to win. I scream in glory and Katniss did to but not soon after did I see her hugging Peeta and muttering sorry into his ear.
