I continued my path towards my English class until I was blocked once again at the end of the corridor.

“Clove, do you think you could do me a favour?” I smiled; this voice was calm and cheerful. It belonged to our Fashion and Technology teacher Cinna Sullivan.

“Aren’t the odds always in your favour, which means I will always say yes” I said happily and he grinned.

“So, I was wondering if you could come back to the office and take off first and second period by showing around our new student”

“Sure, why not? What’s her name?”

“His name is Cato”

Clove gasped, it was a boy. Then why hadn’t Cinna asked Peeta or Finnick or someone like that. They were more likely to show him the ropes of being a popular boy at Panem Prep.

“Why me, what about Peeta?”

“I thought you might like to get out of English and Maths. But if you don’t then I will kindly ask Peeta”

“No” I blurted out and he smiled

“Well then follow me to the new kid” he said jokily and I followed him back, the way I came, to the office.

“Clove, this is Cato Hadley” Cinna said as he opened the office door. My first impressions were outstanding. He was handsome, no, not just handsome, he was gorgeous. He had beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair that stuck out in a way that he probably didn’t have to tease in the morning. He had big broad muscles but the most beautiful part of him was probably his smile.

“Hi, I’m Cato” he says kindly and I smile at him sweetly.

“I’m Clove”

“And sexy” he says before bursting into tears of laughter. I stare at him in confusion before rolling my eyes. I thought he was different when he had first said hi. Now, he was just another arse of a boy, with too big muscles and a too small brain.

“So shall we get on with this tour or not?” I say rudely. Suddenly my sweetness had turned to bitterness at the state of his laughter.

“I’d go with or not, I don’t even want to be in this school”

“Well that makes two of us” I mutter, but he hears me.

“Then ditch” he recommends but I snicker.

“No, I mean I don’t want you to be in this school. Now if you don’t mind. I want this tour to be finished by tomorrow if you don’t mind”

“Temper, temper” he says jokingly and I roll my eyes again before walking out of the room and holding the door open for him to walk through. I take perfect care to let go of it just as he is walking through it. It hits him right on the nose and he clutches it in agony.

“So” I say sweetly “On with the tour”
