Fifty-three

Linda looked around; it had been five minutes since Guy disappeared, and she was freaking out. Tuck was screaming orders while working on the fire. She remembered briefly when Robin had pulled her and Genevieve out from the courtyard to come inside and barricade the door before suddenly being thrust into action regarding the powder. Genevieve and Kate were outside, helping John and Much keep the soldiers out by blocking the door.

"Where's Robin?" came Kate's strangled cry from the balcony as she stormed inside.

Great, now Robin? Archer was gone; he went with Guy to wherever he disappeared to. Though, she did remember him telling her briefly to stay in that room..

Linda, whatever you do, do not leave this room. This is what Guy said, and just once, he needs you to listen to him. It's because he loves you he's doing this. So stay here, and help Tuck, got it?

And then he left.

Tuck was about to answer until Linda's head whipped around, hearing a cry along with grunts coming from the tunnel.  Kate must have also heard it because she started to bolt down the steps.

"No!" Linda ordered. "Stay here, they need you. Tell Genny that I'm in the tunnel." She paused. "No, don't tell Genny anything."

Kate hesitated, but she nodded and ran back to the balcony and zipped outside to go help with Genny and the hell they were dealing with. Linda slowly made her way inside the tunnel doors with her arrow notched, the noise nearing closer and closer. When she got there, her breath caught her throat.

"It can't be..." she whispered.

It was Robin, Archer, and Guy versus Blamire, Isabella, and her father. Robin knocked Vaisey down on the ground and put a sword to his throat. Isabella pulled out a knife to try and kill Robin, but Linda regained herself and released her arrow just in time to hit the knife, causing it to fly out of her grasp.

"You!" Isabella screamed.

Linda smiled, but it quickly faded. Vaisey had taken advantage of the situation. His smile grew into an evil sneer, as he lifted his sword to try and kill Robin.

"Robin!" she heard Guy cry.

Linda's head whipped to the side, finding that Guy was about to charge at his brother. The dream she had flushed before her, and it suddenly dawned on Linda.

Tuck was right. It happened. Her eyes widened. But it can be avoided. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. Guy, I'm so sorry.

Without thinking, she dashed forward and pushed Robin straight into Gisborne, who was also running forward. Robin ran into Guy, and they both fell on the ground.

Then, a few short moments later, Linda gasped.

Everything was a blur to Guy. As soon as he saw Vaisey's sword, Guy charged. What he didn't expect was to have Robin run into him.

Robin collided into Guy, making them both land with a thud to the ground. Guy groaned and pushed Robin off of him. Then he heard a gasp followed by a knife clattering to the floor. Guy's eyes widened and he sat up quickly, screaming his wife's name.

"LINDA!"

He blinked repeatedly, but the image was still there before him. And so was she. Linda was standing in front of her father, a pained and shocked look on her face. Vaisey stared back at her, expression emotionless. Even Isabella was trying to regain her composure, seeing her ex-best friend being murdered right in front of her eyes.
