Chapter 13:Going to Hawaii

We woke up that morning and got ready. Me and Lucy were so excited to move into Graceland. "I can't believe we're gonna be moving in Graceland. This is so exciting. " Lucy said putting her hair into a ponytail. "Neither can I." I said smiling at her while putting on my locket. "Girls, it's time for breakfast." Vernon said calling us from downstairs. We went downstairs and ate breakfast with Dee and Vernon. After we ate, we got our suitcases and walked with Vernon to the cab. When we pulled up to Graceland,we were greeted by Elvis and Red as they got our bags out of the cab. Vernon payed the cab driver and pulled Elvis aside as I overheard them."Take good care of her son. Remember the promise that you made her parents. " Vernon said hugging him while whispering in his ear. "Don't worry, you know I will. "Elvis said. After they hugged,Vernon waved goodbye to us and got back into the cab. "Well let's get y'all settled in." Red said to us . As we walked up the stairs and into our boyfriend's rooms, we put our luggage up. "Are you excited about going to school here with Lucy?" Elvis asked me as we laid on the bed while the song "Put your head on my shoulder" by Paul Anaka was playing on the record player. "I guess . I just wish I could stay with you tommorow. " I said with a frown on my face. "I know Nik-Nik . I wish you could to but I've gotta go to Hawaii and film my next movie. " He said getting up off of the bed and walking to his closet to get his light green suitcase out. "What's it called?" I asked him. "Blue Hawaii, it's about this guy named Chadwick Gates, who's just gotten out of the army, he's so excited to be back home with his Friends,his girlfriend Mali, and his surfboard. When gets back home to his family, his parents want him to go into the family business working for The Great Southern Hawaiian Fruit Company . But he decides to go on his own path and chooses to work at his girlfriend's travel agency, by being a tour guide. " Elvis said to me while packing his clothes. "Who's your leading lady?" I asked while sitting up on the bed. " Joan Blackman." He said while going to the bathroom to pack his toiletries. "I wish you didn't have to go."
I said walking up behind him while I wrapped my arms around his waist. "I know baby, but you know this is my career ." Elvis said to me after he kissed my forehead. "I know. Maybe after the movie gets up and running,me and Lucy could come and visit you. " I said smiling . "Yeah, maybe. But I'll have to ask the Colonel if you can come down there. " He told me as he finished packing. After he finished packing, we went downstairs to eat dinner. After dinner, Elvis played the piano like he always did and took song request. After the singing was over we went upstairs to our rooms to go to sleep. "I hope nothing bad happens in Hawaii . " I said to myself.
