Chapter 15: Going to "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis

It was Saturday and I was so excited that I would get to see Elvis again. He told us that he would take care of school for us on the phone last night so we didn't have to worry about it. That morning before we left for our flight, me and Lucy packed a week's worth of clothes. I decided to wear my light aqua summer dress that Elvis bought me with my white flats and Lucy decided to wear a pink dress with white flats. We both had our hair down. When we arrived at the airport, Vernon and Dee gave us both hugs. "Have a save trip and enjoy yourselfs and send Elvis our love. " Vernon told me before we got on the plane. "I will Vernon, don't worry about us. We'll be fine." I said hugging him. "My two girls. All grown up. " Vernon said hugging both of us. "Flight 121 to Hawaii, Now boarding. " The women's voice over the intercom said to us. "Have a great time and we'll see you in a few days. " Dee told us. We got our suitcases with our passports in hand and walked to the door to get on our plane. We found our seats and started talking about how much fun we were gonna have in Hawaii. After a little bit of chit chatting and taking a long nap, we finally landed in Hawaii. We got our luggage and walked off of the plane. We were greeted by the Hawaiian locals who put leis on our necks. After walking through the Hawaiian gift shop, we saw a man waving at us. "Hi Lucy & Nikki, welcome to Hawaii. My name is Mr.Richardson, your personal chauffeur. Elvis told me about both of you and it's a pleasure to meet you. " He said shaking our hands. "Nice to meet you too. " Lucy said smiling. "Can I get your bags?" Mr. Richardson asked. We nodded and got into the backseat of the limo as he put our bags in the trunk. As he drove down the street to Elvis's movie set, we started looking out the window at the beautiful sights of Hawaii. "And here we are at Mr. Presley's movie set." Mr. Richardson said pointing out the window. After he parked the car, we got out and looked around. It was a pretty interesting movie lot with different props and different actors walking around left and right. Mr. Richardson led us to lot5b where Elvis was shooting. "Now I've gotta go and do some paperwork, but I'll let you enjoy yourselfs and if you need me I'm in my office. " He said as he pointed to a door on the right with his name on the sign. After he walked off, I felt two arms wrap around my waist. "Excuse me miss, Have you seen my girlfriend anywhere?" Elvis asked me putting his chin on my head. Lucy was giggling. "I don't know. What does she look like?" I asked smiling. "Well, she's 5 foot 2, has a aqua blue dress on, has short brown curly hair, pretty mixed skin, cute little nose. " He said touching my nose and making me giggle. "Hey Elvis. " I said as I turned around and hugged him. "Hey sweetheart. " He said kissing my forehead. "Where's Red?" Lucy asked Elvis. "He went to eat lunch with the guys but he'll be on set later. " Elvis said as he put his arm around my shoulder. "Well are you gonna introduce us around or are we gonna stand here like trees?" I asked looking at him. "Ok fine, I'll introduce you to the cast." He said. " We walked on the set while the crew was getting ready to film the beach scene. "Guys, I want you to meet some people. This is my girlfriend Nikki & her friend Lucy. Their gonna be staying in Hawaii for the next few days." Elvis said with his arms around me and Lucy's shoulders. They all said hey and went back to work. "And Nikki, this is my love interest for the movie, Joan Blackman. " Elvis said introducing me to woman with short black curly hair, wearing a yellow bathing suit and yellow flip flops . "Hi, it's so nice to finally meet you. Elvis has been talking nonstop about you. I can tell he likes you a lot." Joan said. "Yeah, I know. " I said smiling up at him. "Elvis, it's time to start." Hal Walis, the director said. "I'll see you later." He said giving me a kiss on the check. I sat in Elvis's chair while Lucy sat in a chair beside me. They started filming a beach evening scene where Elvis's character Chad has a hukiluau with his tourists group, Mali, and his friends on the beach. After hearing them sing the songs, "I love you more today, than yesterday", "Eto Eats", they got up and they starting singing and dancing to a song called "Slicin Sand". When I heard that song, I felt like going on the set and dancing by Elvis. After they finished filming that scene, Elvis walked up to me and Lucy walked over to Red and spent sometime with him. And the cast decided to go and eat dinner at some Hawaiian restaurant. "Did you like it?" He asked me as he dusted the sand off of his white shirt and shorts. "I loved it. Especially the end when you danced to "Slicin Sand". I am officially in love with that song. " I said smiling at him. " I can teach you the dance if you want. " He said winking at me. "With you? No, I mean won't you get in trouble with the Colonel being here on set without the cast. " I asked him. "Whatever happens with the Colonel is my business to worry about. This my movie not his." Elvis said to me. "Ok." I said to him. As we were about to walk on set I looked down at my outfit, I didn't have the beach clothes to dance in. "Elvis, I can't dance in this." I said pointing to my dress. He looked at my outfit and went over to the costume rack and pulled out a light pink shirt and white shorts. "Put this on. It'll fit ya." Elvis said as he led me to a dressing room in the back. After I changed, I walked out and saw Elvis sitting in the sand. "You look so beautiful baby. " Elvis said before he kissed me. He played the song in the recording studio which was right next to the set and stood beside me. "Just follow me". He said smiling at me. After doing the dance a couple of times and falling down in the sand, I finally got the whole dance down. We did the dance the whole way through and then after we finished dancing we fell on the sand laughing. "That was the most fun that I've had in a long time. " Elvis said smiling picking me up and putting his arm around me. "Yeah, it was. " I said smiling. "I'm so happy that you could make it. " Elvis said letting me get my dress so I could get changed. "Me too." I said going into the changing room to put my dress back on while Elvis went to the lights off in the recording studio and the set lot. After that we went back to the hotel where he dropped me off at Lucy's hotel. "So would you wanna go to the beach with me tommorow after I'm done shooting a few scenes?" Elvis asked me as he held the door open. "I would love too." I said smiling. He gave me a long, sweet kiss. "Until tomorrow, my lady. " Elvis said kissing my hand. After he shut the door, I got into my pjs and went to sleep. "I can't wait for tommorow. " I said smiling in my sleep.
