Jennie's POV

Flashback

"That's final Ruby Jane, it's either you'll work under our company or you'll strive on your own." My father sternly said. We're having a dinner which I can't remember when was the last time we actually did as a family. "I'm going to ask Lisa's help and once she agreed you'll start this coming Monday, understand?" He asked.

"Do I have a choice?" I stubbornly said.

"Jennie! Don't talk to your father like that." My Mom warned me and I just rolled my eyes and pretend that I'm actually enjoying the food.

I was interrupted with my train of thoughts when I felt someone poking my cheek.

"Yo princess? Are you even listening? I said we're here." Lisa curiously asked, I didn't noticed that we already arrived at the restaurant.

"Yah! Don't do that!" I said annoyed when she continue poking my cheek.

"I'm sorry, your cheeks are so cute, like dumplings I want to eat them." She said as if its nothing but an ordinary statement which is not caused the moment I heard it my cheeks felt hot, I'm aware I'm already blushing. Thank God she already went outside of the car, I'm about to go out as well when I she helped me, she's the one opened it for me.

"After you my princess." She adorably said.

I roll my eyes but my lips betrayed me, I smiled.

I heard her chuckled.

Lisa approached the person in front, a girl with I think has a same age as we are. I noticed that, she's flirting with Lisa and this flatty seemed enjoying it, well I'm not surprised that's the only warning my father give about this blonde, he said that Lisa is a natural flirt but aside from that she's a dependable person to be with, specially in work.

"Table for..." she was interrupted by the man who's hand land on my back, when I looked up I saw a grinning Kai.

"Three please, table for three." He said and immediately looked down and peck my lips. I should be happy, this man is my boyfriend but all of a sudden the reaction from the girl I've been hanging with since this morning, mattered to me. I look at her, and there I saw she's gritting her teeth. I don't know what I'll feel but she immediately composed herself and put back her smile.

"Well, I'm glad you made it." She said then return her attention to the receptionist. "So yeah, table for three, Ms." she gave her infamous smile to the girl, and this girl blushed. Psh!

I'm glad that lunch was over, without anyone shedding blood or something.

I'm currently reviewing the drafts Lisa asked me to do when I heard a fake cough. I lift ky head and saw her in front of me.

"You can now go home princess, office hours already over five minutes ago." She informed, when I checked my watch she's right. I didn't noticed the time. Well maybe working is not that bad.

"Ow, I didn't noticed the time." I said as if she's not aware of it.

"It's okay, as much as I want you to continue working there so I can have a beautiful sight, I can't. Your father might kill me, if he found out." She joked but for the nth time this day I blushed because of her compliment.

"Easy there princess, I'm starting to doubt if you're really straight." She added.

"Yaah! You're so full..." I was interrupted when we heard gentle knocks from her door. We turned our attention to it at the same time.

"Babe? You ready going home?" Kai inquired.

"No she'll have an over time." Lisa said plainly. I'm about to complained, but she just winked at me.
