Part 16 - Confession

Jennie's POV

I cleared my throat to get Lisa's attention. I saw her seating alone on one of the bleachers located in a park like place near our hotel. I'm just glad that I'm able to find her.

"Err Lisa? Can we talk?" I asks shyly. She didn't look at me but I saw that she nodded. I slowly walk towards her and seat beside her, maintaining a good distance. "I-I'm sorry." I started.

"What are you sorry about Princess?" This time Lisa turned to look at me. I'm stunned because her eyes mirrored sadness. "None of this is your fault. If there's someone who should apologize it should be me, I'm sorry for being an as*hole. I know your relationship with Mr. Jongin is none of my business at all but I'm always between you two, interrupting." She added. "Well partly because I'm just protecting you, I mean I know this is beyond my job, job as your mentor, but part of me reasoned that I'm like this because you're Mr. Kim's daughter after all and I should look after you whether its for work or not, well maybe its also because I somewhat know what kind of man you're currently dating."

"And what kind of man he is Lisa? Huh?" I asks quite annoyed, I mean yes I'm overwhelmed knowing that she's looking after me, that she's concerned but on the other hand she don't have any right to questioned my decision in life specially the person I want to choose to be with me.

"Like me." She honestly answered. "Well maybe I'm worst than him, Ms. Kim." She added chuckling dryly. "And ah, I can't accept that, I can't accept that the man like him been so blessed to have someone like you. Not that I'm into a real relationship now, of course I'm not. Its just that, I ah, I'm just mad that as time passes by I saw how he took you for granted, Ms. Kim. Yeah, I-I admit I don't deserve someone like you but ah- at least I know how to respect and value a person's feelings." Lisa sincerely said. She turned her face away from me but its too late, I saw a tear fell from her eye. I scoot over and cupped her face and made her look at me. I felt that she stiffened because of that. Me myself don't know why I did that too, all I know is I want her to feel better. I made her look at me.

"You're silly." I said.

She chuckled.

"Well thank you Ms. Kim, that's very nice to say." She joked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Call me Princess, idiot."

"So how many endearments do you have for me, Princess?" She asks amused pertaining to the "insults" I'm throwing to her face.

"Well, just enough for me to get your attention." I answered.

"But just your mere presence is enough to catch my attention Princess." She teased so I pinched her cheeks that I'm still holding. "Ouch! What was that for?" She complained trying to remove my hands that still cupping her face but I didn't let go so she don't have a choice but to hold my hands that cupping her face.

I gulped, maybe she realized how intimately sweet that gesture is so she immediately removed her hands that holding mine. I smirked but turned to being serious again.

"I think I already know you Lisa, I mean the real you, despite all the stories I heard about you and my Dad's constant warnings I know how good person you are. I saw it first hand. Don't degrade yourself. Just because you can't commit in a real relationship now doesn't mean you don't deserve it at all. Someday, someone will change your perspective about relationship, about love, just trust the process okay?" I sincerely said.

For a moment her eyes became soft but afterwards it turned to something I can't explain.

"I hope that's easy to do as you say Princess. You know I gave my trust before but...well it ended bad. It made me the person I am now. Though I don't have any regrets cause it made me stronger. Err thank you, thank you for being kind to me. I mean I been nothing but a headache to you so I'm glad that somewhat you see me differently, not ah, not like the way the rest see me." She confessed.

"I'm not the only one sees that Lisa, if you'll just open your eyes, you see how good person you are. Well maybe a typical flirt, there's no excuse to that but I saw how you treat those girls as well, I mean not just them but everyone. So yeah at the end of the day I believe that you're still a good person." I complimented.

I unconsciously wiped the stains of tears from her cheeks. Its too late to notice our faces distance. When I look at her eyes, she's looking at me too, intently.

"You're so pretty Princess. Can you do me a favor?" She asks and I mindlessly nodded. I can't think straight specially when I divert my eyes to her lips. Why all of a sudden I wonder what is the taste of Lisa's lips? Ugh! This is bad.

"Can we go back to being mentor and mentee?" She continued that brought me back to reality. I look at her eyes again.

"Ah-What do you mean?"

"I think...I like you Princess."

I choked. I removed my hands away from Lisa's face and rub my chest. She also rub my back.

"You okay?" She asks concern. After some more coughed, I nodded.

"Yes, j-just don't joke about that again." I said not looking at her but the ground.

"But I'm not joking Ms. Kim." Lisa said seriously. This time it made me looked at her.

"You what?" I confirmed.

"I said I'm not joking. I think ah, I like you Princess, I mean who wouldn't right? Well I thought before that's impossible to happen specially I imagined you as a stubborn heiress who knows nothing, I'm sorry...but knowing you personally, it changed everything. So I ah, I'm asking you to treat me as your mentor again, you see, I, I can't like you, I'll be hurt and that's what I been avoiding for a long time now. You're straight, you're in a relationship and lastly I promised your Dad that I won't take advantage of you. So please?" She almost begged.

I sighed.

Lisa's right.

I nodded.

"Okay." I agreed shortly.

"Yeah?" She confirmed.

"Yup." I answered.

"Thats's great then, so I'll just ask Mina to be your partner ins-.."

"What?" I interrupted her.

"I said I'll ask Mina to be your partner to this whole event." She answered.

"And why is that?" I raised my brow.

"Well I thought we agreed already.."

"Can we start after this? I mean when we return in the city instead?" I interrupted her.

She look at me for a good minute as if studying me the she sighed after.

"Okay, I won't have peace of mind either if I'm not your partner here." She agreed.

"Yey! So we can be friends at least now?" I asks like a child.

She ruffled my hair.

"Of course, just don't be too cute okay? I might kiss you." She joked that I'm sure made me blush.

"Flatty!" I whined, using the pet name I used to call her before.

"Don't you dare Princess, I swear I'll kiss you if you repeat that." She warned.

"I'm sure you can't do that...Flat.."

"Mwuah! You saying something? Princess?"

I was froze to my position, Lisa kissed me on the side of my lips. I felt her lips cause its too close.

What the?!

I'm about to smack her but she's already ran away from me.

"Come On Princess! They're calling us already."
