Chapter Twenty Five

I've been in London for three months. I'll admit I've been getting really homesick. Josh was by two months ago once I hit month three. I'm now going on month four. Twenty One Pilots had some shows though so I haven't seen him in awhile. I put my hands on my tiny belly, rubbing it.

"Ryleigh, I'm home. Can you come here a minute?"Alex shouted upstairs. I forgot he left awhile ago. "Coming,"I yelled back. I gasped when I saw the two familiar men at the bottom of the stairs. "Jacky! Ri!"I yelled excitedly and finished coming down the stairs. I ran to hug them, meeting Jack's open arms first. I breathed in his familiar boyish cologne then hugged Rian, doing the same. I missed them so much and I was so glad they were here.

"I'm so glad to see you guys!"I said. "You too! How have you been? Alex filled us in, it was hard getting away from Zack,"Rian explained. "I'm good,"I said, trying to keep my hands away from my slightly swollen belly. "It's okay, kid, we know about the baby,"Jack said. I cast my gaze to the floor. "How about we go to the living room?"Alex said, herding us like sheep.

"Where's Logan? Is she doing okay?"I asked. I hadn't heard from my favorite friend in awhile and she hadn't visited. "There was a mix up with some paperwork. She was sent back to the foster care system for 2 weeks while they get it sorted,"Rian explained sadly, grabbing my hand and giving it a light squeeze. I felt tears welling a Rian pressed me to his chest and I let out an ugly sob. How could I do this without her? What if she didn't make it through again? What if she thought that Brendon and Sarah sent her back once more? So many questions raced through my head, it made it hard to breathe.

Alex was at my side instantly. He grabbed my hands and held them. I released Rian to grab hold of Alex. "Ryleigh, you have to breathe with me,"he said and demonstrated. He miraculously calmed me down. I knew being stressed was bad for the baby but in my life it was hard not to be stressed. Everything kept happening at once. It threatened to tear me completely apart.

"We have to talk about some stuff now, okay?"Alex asked, helping me to sit up straight once I was calm. "About what?"I asked. They exchanged a glance. "You should tell her, Lexy,"Jack said. I raised an eyebrow. "We were invited to play a few shows around Europe. The first one is in London. We won't be gone but a week to a week and a half unless you need me early,"he said. I knew I could survive that long alone. I would have too. This baby was counting on it.

"Can I come to a show?"I asked. "Ryleigh, is that really a good idea?"Rian asked, raising an eyebrow at me. "Please, Ri. Alex, Jack, I promise I'll stay away from the barricade. Out of sight, out of mind. I'll hide my bump. I need to see him. One last time. Please,"I begged, getting teary once more. "Fine. But you have to stay out of sight of Zack,"Alex hugged and held out his pinkie. I took his pinkie in mine.

With that, I went upstairs to pack a small suitcase. Two days later, I was on my way to London following behind a tour bus. I sang along to the radio, let myself cry, ate some food. They went to the back of the venue while I went to the front. There was already a huge line of people so I went ahead and jumped in. I had a beanie on my head and an oversized hoodie to hide my bump. My eyeliner was winged. No one seemed to know who I was which was okay. I didn't mind being recognized but today would be a bad idea because Zack would most definitely find out I was here.

It was freezing outside. They finally let us in at 6. I avoided the merch table, I didn't want Vinny to recognize me. I went to the floor seating where it was standing room only. I stayed close to the middle and tucked the badge Alex gave me under my hoodie. I pulled my phone out and talked to Josh and Tyler for a awhile. Matt Flyzik came out, sticking his guitar on the stand. I could've swore he made eye contact with me before exiting side stage. At 7, the lights when down. Excitement was building in the air. People were jumping around. I kept my arms wrapped protectively around my stomach.

State Champs opened and You Me At Six were in the middle. I waved at Josh and Derek, lead singers from both bands. Alex sang a song called Criminal with the Champs. The lights went back down before All Time Low came running out. The lights came up as they ripped into A Love Like War. Jack spun around, girls threw their bras and Rian smiled as he nailed his drums. Matt did some vocals then Zack joined in. His eyes looked so sad as he scanned the audience then closed his eyes. I felt him or her kick as I heard his vocals front and center before Alex came back in.

An invisible force pulled me forward. I avoided the mosh pits and pushed my way through the crowd to right behind the barricade. People gave me angry looks but I made it. I looked back up to the stage only to make direct eye contact with Zack. He stared at me in shock. Knowing my cover was blown I turned around to run. Suddenly, the bass cut out then I heard the entire band stop. I tried to disappear.

"Ryleigh, wait!"Zack said into the mic. It echoed into a silent, crowd filled arena. Everyone was confused then there was screaming. I knew I made the jumbo screens. I made myself disappear. I found a stairwell, not paying attention where. I was out of breath and tears streamed down my face. "Hey there, love,"a British voice said. I glanced up to find Josh. I wrapped my arms around his waist as he hugged me in return, rubbing my back as I sobbed.

A long while later, Rian found us. "You know he's a mess. He wants to see you,"Rian said. I nodded, sniffling but holding Josh tightly. "Ryleigh, he needs to know. Tell him or I will. This has gone on long enough. It's not fair to your kid,"Rian said. I kept my silence. "Will you tell him, promise me? I have news you want,"Rian said. I looked up, my teary faces meeting his eyes. I nodded. "Logan is coming home. Zack Hall flew out to get her today. She's going to be okay, Ryleigh,"Rian said. I released Josh then, allowing Rian to wrap me into his arms.
