"Shh, everyone! He's here!" Aubrey shouted before taking cover behind the couch, everyone else going to hide as well. A few seconds go by before the door is opened and the sound of keys being tossed down can be heard. Aubrey counted to three before her as well as everyone else who was hiding jumped out of their hiding spots, yelling "surprise"

"Aww, Aubs, you didn't have to..."

"Of course I did. Today is a very special day." Aubrey said proudly as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Really? How so?"

"Okay Aubby, I bought the cake like you asked me too, but i'm still not quite sure why you made me do all of this if it's not even your-"

The whole room went silent in that moment. Soon enough Stan felt a tear run down his face and he set the cake down on the counter before running and pulling the man into a hug.

"Holy shit, I missed you so much, Rich." Stan mumbled into his husband's shoulder. It was almost surreal to him that he was finally hugging his husband again. "I missed you and more than anything the whole entire time I was in there. It was the only thing I could think about." Richie whispered back with a sad chuckle before he finally let go of Stan. He finally realized the other people in the room.

"Aww, the whole gang is here just for lil ol' me." Richie said with a sniffle. It was obvious that he was trying not to cry. He went to individually greet them all and give them hugs, but his whole body tensed up when he saw Bill there.

"Before you kick my ass... I just want to apologize for everything. I was bitter and jealous and I shouldn't have said or done the things I did. It was wrong of me and I completely understand if you never forgive me." Bill apologized with his hands raised defensively. It was silent between the two for a moment. "So I see your stutter's gone." He muttered as a small mutual smile creeped onto both of their faces and pulled each other into a hug. Richie then went back to say hi to the person he was the most scared to see again.

"Hey, Aubrey... I wanna apologize. What I did was so stupid and I didn't take a moment to think about how my decision would affect you or our family." Richie said sorrowfully. Richie noticed Aubrey roll her eyes. That must have been something she picked up from Stan. "It's okay, Papa. I just missed you a lot at my birthdays."

"BirthDAYS?! How old are you now?" Richie felt bad that he had to ask that.

Aubrey held up both of her hands and smiled. Five years. Richie had been in a coma and missed five of his daughter's birthdays. Richie almost frowned, but he had to stay happy for Aubrey.

"Gosh, I must be so old now! Do I have any grey hairs?" Richie said jokingly and he grabbed a chunk of his hair. His daughter looked at his hair and giggled before shaking her head. Richie sighed in relief and wiped fake sweat off of his forehead, making Aubrey laugh even more. "Rich, Aubrey, hurry in here so we can cut the cake together!" Stan shouted from the kitchen. Richie hadn't noticed until then that everyone besides him and Aubrey had migrated to the kitchen.

"Well you heard the boss." Richie said with a shrug before he picked Aubrey up and hung her over his shoulder, both of them laughing nonstop the whole way there.
