Stan was back at school sitting next to Bill and an intense awkward silence fell over the group of friends.
"Okay, I'm sick of this shit. What's going on?" Eddie asks, pointing a finger at Stan and Bill. "Well St-st-stan acts as if w-we're not even dating." Bill leaned his head on his hand and Stan snapped his head over to look at Bill, his eyebrows furrowing a little. "Well excuse me for not wanting to be all lovey dovey all the time." Stan mumbled sarcastically. "You're n-never lovey dovey!"
The rest of the losers all stared with wide eyes, watching this new couple quickly fall apart. "Oh please, yes I am!" Stan shouted back, turning in his seat to look at Bill. Bill turned toward Stan, the rage apparent in both their faces.
"I haven't e-e-even been able t-to kiss you!"
"But then you would have been my first kiss!"
"So? W-what's wrong with m-me being your first k-k-kiss?! I'm your boyfriend, aren't I?!"
"Well maybe I don't want to kiss you because I want someone else to be my first kiss!"
Everyone at the table's jaws dropped and Stan covered his mouth quickly, but he knew he fucked up as soon as he saw all of Bill's anger shift and morph into sadness. Bill got up, leaving his tray there and walking out of the lunchroom. The rest of the losers looked over at Stan before they all closed their mouths. Great going, Stanley.
"I'll go talk to him, just stay here." Bev said as she stood up. "I'll go too." Ben stood up with Bev, giving Stan a soft sad smile before walking off in Bill's direction. That left Richie, Mike, and Eddie still at the table with Stan. "Hey, don't worry about it, Stan. Bev's great in these situations so she'll be able to save your relationship." Mike said comfortingly.
Stan sighed and put his head in his hands. "But what if I don't want to save it." He mumbled under his breath, earning confused looks from the other boys. "What?" Eddie asked. "I didn't want this. This is all because of-" Stan stopped mid-sentence. He finally realized that the boys in front of him were the boys that he thought could be Red.
It could be Eddie. He lives in Maine and is a guy, obviously. He could be bisexual and he does have a job as a barista. He also doesn't have a drivers license and is smart in basically every subject. But he isn't an extrovert, he's a cat person, and his favorite color is yellow. Shit.
Maybe it could be Mike. Mike fits all the criteria. Stan also might have had a tiny crush on him when they first introduced him to the Losers Club. But he does have a driver's license. Maybe it could be him still and he just lied to not make it too obvious. Hopefully.
Then there's Richie. Yes richie was bisexual and didn't have a drivers license, but Stan didn't know much about Richie, though they have been friends since the first grade. The longest friendship of all the Losers. Richie's always been a mysterious boy, but it couldn't possibly be Richie. Richie didn't like him that way.
"What's you guys' favorite colors?" Stan asked randomly. The boys all looked at each other with a perplexed facial expression.
"Yellow"
"Red"
"Red"
