As expected of boss!
To have taken over the human clan that I was secretly hiding in so fast!
I should have let him take over this much earlier!

It has been days since Boss first took over this place. Who knew these humans were so weak!

But the greatest thing of all, is that I can now collect gold even at day!

Now I don't need that human form anymore!

I think all that while swimming in my room full of gold coins and jewels.

Now that I think about it, where is that Crystalball which showed strange symbols in the air?

Eh, it probably went under all my gold coins.

I then realize that I left the window open.

I of course quickly closed it.
Who knows what might happen if I left it open.

I laugh as I think that.

---------------

The villagers are in despair.
The best food has to be delivered to the monsters, while we can only have bread and water.
And all coins have to be delivered to them.
If not, they will come to steal it.

Sometimes, if one is spotted with something shiny, it will immediately land in the hands of the monsters.

Some, including myself already tried to defeat it while it sometimes sleeps, but the other monster stopped us.

And even escaping from the village doesn't work, as the other monster (who seemingly is the underling of the evil monster) patrols the village, and ordered us to build a wall around the village...

And just some weeks ago, I was happily going to school...

"Hey everyone! Look!"

A villager shouted while pointing at something near the monsters new base (My house).

"This is.... gold?!"

I'm surprised the monsters hadn't collect it yet.

But then I spotted something incredible.
A magic measure ball.

It's a crystal ball which measures how great the user's magic is. The only people who have this, are royalty or nobles.

"We should burry it in some place!"

A villager said, as I was about to pick up the magic measure ball.

Ever since I returned, the villagers said that I was their only hope. But that quickly changed after they realised that I also couldn't defeat the monsters.

"W-What is this?!"

A villager shouted.

Anyone who touched this magic measure ball, would have his magic strength shown in words there.

"T-This can't be!"
The village chief said with disbelief.

And we all felt the same way as we stared at those words in the air with disbelief.

I... am a hero?

"But that's impossible! There can only be one hero to fight evil!"
Another villager shouted the same complaints that I had in my mind.

"...king..."

"What?"

The Village chief muttered something with a grim expression.

"You....have to go to the king."

"But chief, what if this crystal ball was broken?"

"Even if cut apart, it will still work."
The village chief said seriously.

"Chief, what is this true power state?"
I asked.

"...You'll learn the answer when you actually unlock it."

As I stare at him, I wonder who the village chief really is.

And so, I am now on a Journey to become a hero.

I was of course given gold coins, the crystal ball, a horse, and food and water.

It was a miracle that the monster's underling was sleeping.

Other monsters of course appeared on my journey. But monsters we learned about in school.

And the more I used my Thunder magic to defeat the monsters, the stronger it grew. I felt it.

I grew more confident on the fact that I was a hero. But why I also had a weak presence... I never knew...

I decided to rest and check my strength.

It doesn't look like I grew much...

And all of this, because monsters infiltrated our home...
