Chapter 7 "Burglary"

Avaritia felt lighter.
He was already accustomed to his weaker human body, so his real body was almost like a new body to him.
He decided to crawl out of the window in his room and jump on houses to warm up.

While Avaritia was enjoying himself, he then suddenly saw someone passing by at the streets.

"Man, that king sure is rich, to be able to afford all that!"
A man with red cheeks said while struggling to walk.

Avaritia knew that when he said rich, he meant a ton of gold and jewels.

"Hey, old human! Tell me where this king is!" Avaritia wanted to know so badly, were all that gold was.

"Ah, the c-castle is in that direction!
*hic*" The drunk guy pointed at the big castle in the distance.

Avaritia charged towards the castle with fiery red eyes.

"Shiny....Gold....Heheheh..."

After Avaritia arrived in front of the castle, he realized how big it was.
It was colored in white and many windows could be seen.

"Ooooh, there must be tons of gold."
As Avaritia was admiring the height of the castle, he ignored all the guards.

He stuck his claws on the castle walls and began climbing. He was happy that he could do something that he did in his original world.

But unfortunately for Avaritia, a guard spotted him.

"AAAAHHH! It's a demon! Danger!"

Since it was in the middle of the night,
only Avaritia's red glowing eyes could be seen.

But after the other guards came to check what was going on, Avaritia already disappeared.

"Don't daydream at work!" another guard scolded the guard who spotted Avarita.

After Avaritia climbed up to the highest castle floor, he glanced at a window and knew what to do. He broke the window and entered.

Some guards who were guarding the interior heard the noise and were preparing to attack, until...

"Shiny...give me...shiny...!"
They saw Avaritia with his glowing red eyes and sharp claws.

The guards had never seen such a monster.

Avaritia noticed their shining spears and his red eyes became like flames.

"Give me your gold!"

Avaritia darted towards the guards to grab their spears.

"G-GET AWAY FROM ME, MONSTER!"
One guard tried to defend himself, but his spear was already stolen by the monster.

Avaritia kicked the other guards away and they flew until being stopped by the walls.
After Avaritia took their spears, he kicked the guards in the face which made the guards lose consciousness.

"Heheheheh...more gold for me..."
Avaritia said while excitedly gazing at his golden spears.

Avaritia searched through the castle,
until he finally found all the king's gold.

"I never found so much in my life!"
Avaritia jumped towards the treasures and grabbed as much as he could. But of course someone heard him.

"Someone is stealing the treasures!"

"Capture him!"

"Why did you wake me up?"

Avaritia heard the bewilderment from the guards.

"And there was so much gold..."

Avaritia left disappointed, and took all the gold he could carry.

"There he is!"

"Drop the gold now!"

The guards spotted Avaritia and pointed their spears at him.

Unfortunately for them, Avaritia jumped out of a window and quickly climbed down.

"HE ESCAPED!"

"WERE IS HE?!"

When the guards attempted to go outside to catch him, they already lost him.

In the morning, Avaritia returned to his home and transformed back into a human. He checked all his stolen goods. He had a big amount of gold.

"Heheh, maybe I could stay here."
After seeing all that gold, he realised it was much more than his treasures in his previous place.
He thought that staying at this place wasn't so bad.

And then he spotted a sphere-like crystal. Since he took so much at once, he didn't realise this sphere's existence.
When Avaritia wanted to hold
that sphere, it suddenly began to glow
and a screen popped up before him.

It contained information regarding his magic.

"What is this?"

He stared at the screen, unable to really understand the meaning of it.
But then he realised how tired he was and then decided to sleep.
