Rose Anne West protests, "You don't need to come here everyday. I'm safe."

Dallas shrugs her shoulders.

He only says, "I don't have anything better to do."

He lied and they both know it.

Jacob's nephew had sent thugs to kill her more than twice.

Dallas has come every morning to accompany her to work. She would be working in her office. He would be patrolling factory grounds. Greeting the workers. Making sure no unwanted criminals near the factory.

Rose is so stubborn! I asked her to hire some bodyguards. She said she already had three male servants with her. I could easily knocked them out in one punch.

Dallas sighs.

Rose is four years older than him. She's short and plump, not his usual type.

When Dallas left her home after he recovered, someone tried to kill her again.

She's lucky to be alive. Her male servant wasn't so lucky and died. She increased the numbers of her servants. Still they are no experienced fighters.

Dallas stares the factory. Rose is in there somewhere. Working even harder than most male managers.

A business looking man is walking into the factory. Dallas has a hunch he is up to no good so he follows him.

The man goes straight to the office. He enters without even knocking the door.

He introduces, "My name is Wescott, Ma'am. I'm here by court order to ask you to relieve your post."

Rose folds her hands and asks, "Whose order?"

"Judge Dredd. There would be court hearing in Monday morning. Mr.Williams Tall is filling a charge against you. He said you're taking away his factory. The legacy from his uncle."

Rose rises from her chair. She still two heads shorter than the man although she tries to stand taller.

"It's mine! He couldn't take it from me!"

"Sorry, Ma'am. You know the rules. No woman is fit to run a factory."

Rose looks insulted. She is the most hard working woman Dallas has ever seen.

The man adds, "Get married again. Your husband should run the factory. That's your only choice."

Dallas walks toward the man and he orders, "Out of this factory."

"Good afternoon, Ma'am."

Rose bursts to tears when he has left. Dallas rubs the back of his neck. Simply doesn't know what to do. It hurts to see her devastated like this.

She wails, "My advocate has warned me. He would do anything to win. I'll lost everything. Just because I'm a woman..."

"It ain't right..." protests Dallas.

That's the reality in this era. Women are unfit to rule a company or factory. No wonder how brilliant she is.

She is startled when he suddenly hugs her. A kiss to her head. She is staring him with questions in her brown eyes.

"Let's get married," says him.

"No," replies her too quickly.

Dallas sighs.

He has proposed to two women in his life. Both got rejected. People would think something is wrong with him.

He has full set of teeth. He isn't rich guy but he has some money in bank. No debt like most noblemen have. He isn't exactly a handsome guy. But he isn't ugly too. Not a drunkard, not a gambler.
