Ellie tidies her hair one last time. She bites her lips. Sunny yellow dress. Her best Sunday dress. She touches her pale cheeks. She pinches her cheeks to give more rosy color.
She hasn't slept well the last few days. Her new work as Phantom B paid well. She still not used to gather info from other servants. It's like betraying their trusts secretly.
Hook said she would get used to it.
She looks around. No sign of him yet.
He promised me a tour of London. And he is already fifteen minutes late.
A tap to her shoulder from behind.
Hook is smiling widely. He doesn't show any remorse for late arrival.
A single red rose is offered to her.
Ellie accepts it with a hand. She still looks a bit upset.
Hook only says, "Traffic is bad in London. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long."
He offers his hand and they walk to a waiting phaeton. The tour starts from Tower of London. Parliament house.
Hook says, "Fine weather today. We haven't seen each other much. Thanks to that annoying Earl."
Ellie shakes her head.
She protests, "Don't talk about work. It's our day off."
Hook asks, "Do you like it here? The bustling crowded town. People kept going. Peddlers yelling, offering merchandise and..."
Her forefinger touches his lips and stops him from talking anymore. For a minute or two, he is silent. Ellie lowers her finger.
She asks, "Tell me one thing. Are you nervous?"
"What? No, of course not. Why would I be nervous?" protests him.
"You blabbered a lot when you're nervous. Did you know?" asks her.
Hook sighs.
That's scary. She reads me like a book. How should I give her this thing? It caught my eyes on my way to see her. Spend thirty minutes to haggle the price from the mangy merchant.
Ellie is staring him with her lovely eyes. Hook takes out a silver ring from his pocket. It has shape of a heart.
He asks, "Would you like to...?"
"Yes, yes, I do. I would love to marry you," replies her before taking the ring from his hand.
Hook is speechless. He scratches his head but says nothing more. Ellie tries the ring and the size fits perfectly as if it's custom made for her.
She is smiling brightly right now.
Hook coughs once then he asks, "Thought you're in love with Hanks?"
She whispers to him, "I've loved you for few months now. The day you left the village was the day I realized it. What I felt for Young Master was different. Not as deep as this."
Hook holds her hand and kisses the back of it.
He asks, "Are you sure you want to marry me? I can't changed. I would always be like this. My mouth, I mean."
Ellie smiles.
She says, "We shall chat a lot of things. And if I need some quiet, we could just plug it."
"Plug?" asks him worriedly.
A kiss to his lips is her sole answer. It happened only in a blink of eyes. Hook thinks he might be imagining it.
Ellie is looking another way. Too embarrassed to see his face right now. It's her first time to kiss a man. To kiss him, the man she loves.
Hook smiles.
He whispers to her ear, "You could plug my mouth anytime, Ellie."
She doesn't reply him. Her ear looks reddish. She must be blushing deeply.
Hook sits more upward.
I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend. Not to marry me. I never thought she loved me. A kiss to plug my mouth. I love her idea. If only we're already married, I'll plug her mouth too. Again and again until we arrive in bed. And...
He covers the front side of his trousers using his hat. No need to show his fiancee how eager he wants her in bed. It might scare her off.
Hanks said a woman must be insane to be my wife. He's wrong. Ellie is the sweetest woman I ever met in my life.
Ellie suddenly says, "Charles, we must invite her."
"Who?"
She replies, "Your Aunt Marvel. First I must explain how I fell in love with you. Not young master. She must be shocked."
Hook says sadly, "I'm so sorry. She isn't in this world anymore."
"Oh, no. I'm sorry for your loss. Was she ill?"
Hook shakes his head.
He explains, "She died in her sleep. I'm sure she would bless us from heaven."
Ellie holds his arm. Resting her head on his shoulder. She is mourning for the gentle aunt. The old Lady always gave her good advices to pursue her love.
If not for her, she wouldn't be brave enough to embrace her love for him.
Ellie prays in her heart, "Rest in peace, Dear aunt Marvel. I will look after Charles and love him for life."
She smiles to him and he smiles back.
The bell from Big Ben rings twelve times. Like a big celebration for their engagement.

Please vote and comment:)Me: Hook, Dallas and Hanks. Wonder which one is more popular.
Dallas: Hanks is handsome and moody. Some women love that kind of guy.
Hook: Agreed. Even in France, he's quite popular with women. I have to tell them that he likes man. Otherwise we couldn't do our job.
Hanks: What did you say? You spread nasty lies about me?
Hook: Yikes! Dallas, help me!
Me: His mouth is double edges blade.
