Y/N's POV
You sat in class and stared lazily at the board while your father erased everything he had drawn. It had been about a week since you had told Todoroki, and thankfully not one word was said about who your family was. Everything had mainly gone back to normal... aside from a few changes. One of which was that you obviously had to let your dad know that Todoroki had found out. You thought he would've been mad, but surprisingly he took it well and even said he trusted your judgement. It was definitely a relief. Another difference was that you and Todoroki had definitely grown closer. You noticed he'd sit next to you and talk to you whenever he got the chance. He'd even kept you company throughout the entire Parent Social. There was also this one time when the two of you-
"Y/N? Helloooo? You know your always zoning out these days," Uraraka said suddenly breaking your train of thought.
"She's probably thinking about you-know-who," remarked Jirou who was sitting on a desk.
You shook your head and blushed, "Uh... no."
Mina smirked, "Oh come on! You don't have to hide it anymore. You two are toottaaally dating."
You rolled your eyes and let out a dry laugh, "You guys are crazy."
"Crazy? More like correct," she countered.
"Hm? Correct? About what?" interrupted a monotone voice all of sudden.
You blushed again and turned around to find Todoroki. He's probably misinterpreting this situation as them talking about my parents... you thought as a small smile appeared on your face.
"It's nothing important Todo. Don't worry."
"TODO?!" exclaimed Mina, "YOU TWO HAVE NICKNAMES NOW?!"
You held up your hands, "It's nothing big you guys. We're just friends."
"Wait we're just friends?" Todoroki replied only making the situation worse.
Your jaw dropped as you began to look back and forth between the two groups. Words seemed to stop coming out of your mouth and your brain turned to mush.
Luckily your father came to save you, "Alright class is dismissed. Y/N and Todoroki, I need you to stay a bit before you leave."
You nodded and swallowed the lump in your throat, thankful that something had broken up the awkward tension. You were definitely not expecting Todoroki to ask such a question. Quickly, you gathered your things and made your way to your father's podium. He gave you the smallest of smiles, but nothing more as there were still other people in the room.
"Is... is everything okay?" you asked keeping your voice low.
Your father nodded, "It's nothing serious."
Your mouth drew into a thin line. Whatever "nothing serious" was meant that it was still serious. After a few awkward minutes everybody had left the room and it was just the three of you.
You looked up at your father and he began, "I'm sure both of you know that there's a huge hero conference coming up soon which I am required to attend..."
The two of you nodded.
"And as such I'll be out of town for the next few days, which means..." he turned his gaze on Todoroki, "someone needs to look after my daughter."
The half and half male blushed, "Uh-"
"Todoroki, since your the only who knows about our situation... I'm trusting you."
"Mr. Aizawa, with all due respect I-"
Your father held up a hand, "Relax kid. All I'm asking is that you walk her to and from school everyday. And that if she needs to leave the house for any reason, I want you to be there with her."
You let out a sigh of relief. Of course, you had known that your dad would be leaving for a few days and, based on past experience, you had thought that he would place you under the care of another pro hero. Thankfully though, that wasn't the case. You turned and looked at Todoroki. He seemed deep in thought, but you already knew what his answer would be.
"Alright. I'll make sure Y/N won't get into any trouble," he said shooting you a small smile.
Your father nodded, "Thank you. Oh and by the way, I'm leaving today. So you might as well start now."
You sighed and let out a small chuckle. Of course your dad would pull something like this. He turned and picked up his bag, facing you one last time to pat you on the head.
"Be good okay? I won't be gone for long."
You nodded, "Don't worry dad. I'll be fine."
He smiled, "You grew up so fast."
And with that, your father turned and left, leaving you with Todoroki.
Time Skip
About thirty minutes passed and the sun was beginning to set as the two of you started walking over to your house. It was taking a little longer than expected, and you had decided to pass the time by playing a game.
"Would you rather... fight Bakugo blindfolded or... fight Midoriya with your feet tied together?" you asked with an amused grin.
He thought for a bit, "I'd pick Bakugo... because he's constantly screaming so I'd hear where he was no matter what."
You giggled, "That's a pretty good answer."
"Can I ask you one?"
"Yeah of course. I'm interested to see what you'd have in mind."
He took a breath, "Would you rather stop and get ice cream or continue onto your house?"
You stopped in your tracks, "Wait are you serious?"
He nodded and a smile bloomed on your face.
"Well obviously I'd have to choose the ice cream."
