Author's Note: So I had originally intended this to just be a one and done kinda one shot but I've seem some comments and I have to agree with them that it was kinda an abrupt ending. Soooo here's a little short ig to provide more closure. Enjoy <3
Time Skip: First Day of School at UA
Y/N's POV
"Hey Todo," you said taking the seat next to him, "remember me?"
The half and half boy stared at you as your heart hammered in your chest. Why is he just looking at me like that... you panicked internally. Did he forget me?! Does he not recognize me?!
You smiled awkwardly and stood up, "S-Sorry I must have the wrong person-"
"Wait no," he said grabbing your wrist as you began turning away.
You looked back down at him.
"I was just shocked that's all," he said releasing his grip, "Please don't go... again."
You slid back into the chair next to him, "I won't. I promise."
Silence descended upon the two of you as you observed the other members of your class. There were a few other girls in your grade you had noted. Maybe you would try introducing yourself to them later, but right now you just wanted to catch up with your old friend.
"I missed you," Todoroki spoke all of sudden as if he had read your mind.
"I missed you too," you said with a small grin, "You know, for a second there I was worried you'd forgotten who I was."
He shot you a look and took your hand, slipping something into it, "It's not like I could forget even if I wanted."
Suspiciously raising an eyebrow, you unfolded your fingers to find a small piece of paper. It was none other than the bento box note.
"You kept it? After all this time?" you asked as you felt your heart swell with emotion.
He nodded.
You smiled again and began to trace the words with your finger, your eyes becoming glassy. I really said he was the best guy in the world didn't I? you thought amusedly.
Without really thinking about what you were about to do, you sprang up and threw your arms around him. There was no stopping your immense joy. Eventually, Todoroki sank into the hug as well, wrapping his arms around your waist and drawing you closer.
You giggled, "Just like old times."
"Yep," he replied.
