Tiffany POV
"Mama I told you Im gonna be fine. I'll probably just stay in my dorm and hangout with Brooke."
"Okay. I just feel bad not being there for your birthday and your gonna be turning eighteen." I laughed as she whined on the phone.
"I promise Im gonna be good alright."
"Fine, okay. Hey I'll talk to you later, Shawn just came home."
"What do you mean home as in he took over in my place?"
"I bet you wanna know huh? I'll call you later babe, love you." She rushed off the phone.
"I love you too."
I hung up the phone and got up to go to the kitchen. I looked at the sink and sighed because it was my turn to do the dishes.
I've only been living here a month and have been extremely home sick. Things here are different then a home and the pace is much faster.
I knew New York was gonna be crazy but not this wild. My third day here there was a brawl at the main court. People was throwing chairs and cursing each other out. It was way different then I expected.
"Hey boo. I went grocery shopping for us." Brooke came in knocking me out my thoughts.
"Oh wow, thank you so much for going even though it was your turn." I said sarcastically.
"Haha. Look what I got though for next week." She pulled out a bottle of Peach Ciroc.
I shook my head at her. This was your typical Brooke, who love to drink. She was a sophmore who transfered from USC but was orginally born here.
The first week I was here we didn't talk because of the fact that she didn't want a room mate but soon got over it after we had our first conversation. She reminded me in somewhat of Kwan, so that's why I connected with her on a good level.
"I thought I told you that I haven't drunk before."
"Yeah but you aint say nothing about not wanting to drink though. So what's the problem?"
"Nothing."
"Look I bet it will take away the frustration that you haven't gotten any dick from Andrew."
"Oh my gosh his name is Andre and shut up. Im not even worried about him." I lied.
I was worried about Andre because the last time I saw him was when I was home. Even though we have been talking time to time, like texting and even on the phone. I have yet to see him.
I wonder why I have yet to see him on campus. Whenever I ask him he'd tell me that he would be here soon and not to worry.
"Well what ever. Im going to go take a shower and when I get out we will talk about plans for your birthday missy." She left walking out while blowing me a kiss.
I did one in return and started cleaning the dishes

"Okay and then after I take you to the spa and get you hooked up we gon hit up the club around eleven. Everything is gonna be cool because I know the co owner so he'll get us in."
We was walking out of the study hall as Brooke continued our conersation from last night. This girl was still making plans for my birthday and I had no choice but to listen. Even though I wanted to turn her down I couldn't because I could tell she was really trying to do something so I just went with it.
"Mama is you listening or what?"
"Yeah, go head."
"Anyways, like I was saying-" She started to continue but stopped when some boy ran into me knocking down his books.
"Damn my bad." He said leaning down to pick them up.I heard his deep accent which was no longer new to me since I have been living here. I figured I help him just to be nice.
"Im sorry about that." As I handed him his notebook I looked up and saw that he was really cute. He had long curly hair that was in a bun and looked like he was puerto rican.
"It's cool. Im Troy." He reached his and out for me to shake and I did.
"Tiffany."
''Well Tiffany, it was nice meeting you maybe we can meet again."
"Okay."
"Alright I'll see you later beautiful."
"Bye." Brooke giggled.
After he was far enough out of ear shot Brooke screamed causing me to jump.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Girl did you not see how fine that brother was. Okay I will have him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
"Wow really." I laughed at her.
"You don't even know. Damn Tiff you are so fucking lucky. How come you get all the fine niggas and I just get some bullshit."
"I don't know. I mean it's not like Im going out and looking for them, it just happens."
"Yeah right. Well maybe this Troy dude can take your mind off Andre, if you know what I mean."
"No that's not gonna happend. Ever!" I said thinking about the time I almost lost him because of another dude trying to come into the picture.
"Well damn, is the dick that good?" You have no idea, I thought.
"It is huh?"
"I am not talking to you about that." I laughed as we entered the dorm room.
"Whatever. Speaking of that when was the last time you had got some."
"What did I just say."
"Ugh, fine. Im going to take me a nap. Wake me up around six. You know I have to watch my bad girls club."
"Okay." I watched as she went into her room as I sat on our couch to watch some t.v myself.
* Later on that night*
I was in my room laying down just thinking until I got a text. I sat up and look to see it was Andre who was texting me.
"Hey baby."
"Wassup. How was your day. I haven't talk to you all day."
"It was good, just getting settled in."
"In where."
"My dorm, where else."
I read the text over again to see if I had read it right the first time.
"Wait, does that mean that you're here. At the college?"
"Of course babe."
I smiled as my heart started to race.
"Where are you then?"
"Im out side your building....come get me."
I didn't reply back. I jumped up and snatched my phone off the charger and got my jacket to leave. I so excited to see him again and I was happy that he was finally here with me.

Well guys there go the first chapter of Taking It Further. Im really excited to be writing this book because there is probably where I am really going to test there relationship.
