BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ!!!
I shut off my alarm after it goes off at half past six AM. It's Monday... And it's heavily raining. Great. I slump out of bed and walk to the bathroom to shower, brush my hair and teeth and back to my room and get dressed. "Nora! Breakfast is ready! Hurry up and come eat before it gets cold!" Mom called from downstairs. I can smell it from the hallway. Scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee and Cinnamon pancakes. "Coming Mom!" I called back. I come down to the kitchen fully dressed and ready to eat. Mom makes the best cinnamon pancakes plus she always makes them heart shaped, but I also like the blueberry pancakes Dad makes. I ate my food and washed it down with a glass of orange juice. Nicky hugged me and Mom and Dad kissed me goodbye before I put on my coat and backpack and left the house, but not before grabbing my umbrella. It was so cold in this heavy downpour. The only times I actually like such weather like this is either I'm indoors where it's warm or during the Summer where I cool off after the constant heat, but right now it's March thirteenth and Spring doesn't start for another week. Good thing it wasn't snowing. I had enough snowfalls and blizzards from late November to February. I don't want any more snow. I finally reached the bus stop where my friends are... and we waited twenty-five minutes for that confounded bus.
"I wonder what our substitute teacher is like." Frida said. "I just hope she's nice." Andrea said. The bus finally showed up, but after we got on, it was crowded and there just had to be traffic. Stupid traffic.
Every car in every lane in the road is taking forever to move when there's a green light... I can see the bus driver looking on edge, keeping himself from cursing out the cars in front of him since there's kids and several babies on board. So many cars honking outside and there was a truck too! And truck horns are loud. The truck outside kept honking the horn and it was scaring the babies, making them cry and the kids also got scared and screamed. I hope the babies don't get damaged hearing. The cars beeping, the truck honking, and the hysterical children are giving me, Frida and Andrea a headache.
And I can tell the driver is getting a headache too. I can't hear him, but by reading his lips, I can tell he's cursing under his breath. "I don't think I can handle this noise anymore. I thought Nicky and Phoebe's screaming match and Honey's crying was bad enough. And Honey doesn't cry that much." Frida groaned while covering her ears. "Back when Terry and Tyrone were still not in college yet, they were much louder than this." Andrea commented. "Always yellin' when playin' basketball outside, always yellin' when they play their video games, win or lose, always yellin' when they watch the Football or Basketball game with our Dad. And he's loud too. That's where they got their loud mouths from. As for me and Stephen, Dad said we get our mouths from Mom. Not as loud, but sarcastic and sassy. Stephen was quiet when we were kids, but now that he reached puberty, his voice started to get deeper and he's starting to get loud as well." Poor Andrea. I felt bad for her having to deal with such noise at home, and I feel bad for Frida having to deal with temperamental Phoebe giving her and their other sisters and their parents a hard time every day, but at the same time I'm glad I don't have as many siblings as they do, but Nicky, he's still talkative and I sometimes I get tired of hearing his mouth. It was a thirty minute drive to school. And now we have seven minutes to get to first period. And did I mention that I'm glad it didn't start snowing? Well I take it back because it started to snow! Well at least it was only a light snowfall and it cannot get worse because my friends and I finally got off the bus and we're walking towards the entrance. Until a limousine quickly pulled up by the curb. Where there's a giant puddle of water mixed with dirt. Andrea and Frida were able to shield themselves from getting splashed with their umbrellas, but I was too slow. I ended up getting soaked all over my face and clothes with that dirty rain water.
It was so cold! Jessica stepped out of the limousine wearing designer clothes and rain gear, laughing and pointing at me. Her little posse also stepped out and joined her in laughing. "Oh, sorry, girls. I didn't see you there." She said sarcastically.
"Don't play dumb Jessica! You splashed us on purpose." Frida shot at her. "Shut it, Red." she shot back. "It's her own fault for being stupid enough to not know how to use an umbrella like a normal person." Jessica shot back. "Shut up, Jessica! Just because you're rich, doesn't mean you can be an arse to everyone else!" Andrea yelled while storming up to her, preparing for a fight. Rebecca stepped in front of her and shoved her off. "You're just jealous 'cuz you're poor and fat!" She said. Rebecca went too far. Andrea in rage started swinging fists and trying to beat her down, but Rebecca wasn't backing out, she too started punching, jabbing and she was kicking too. Frida and I had to pull her off, but Frida suddenly got kicked in the face and she falls back.
"That's what you losers get!" The girls walked into the building laughing while Frida whimpered tenderly rubbed her face. "I'm sorry about that, Frida." Andrea said. "Come on, let's take you to the nurse."
