The sound of the door opening makes you absentmindedly glance up from the drink you were pouring. You saw a woman stepping into the saloon, letting the door swing closed behind her as she walked up to the bar. You slid the glass over the bar to the man sitting in front of you, accepting his money with a small but polite smile.

The woman sat down at the bar, a few stools away from the man you just served. She glanced over at you, waiting for your service but not snapping for your attention like many of your customers do. You walked down the bar until you were standing in front of her.

"What can I do for ya?" you asked her with a smile.

"Just a glass of whatever's strongest" the woman shrugged, her gaze scanning the display of liquor bottles on the back wall.

"Difficult day?" you asked as you grabbed a glass and started filling it, it wasn't the first time that you had had that request.

"Something like that" she shrugged again as you placed the drink down in front of her. You thanked her with a smile when she handed you the cash.

The woman was undeniably attractive, she was probably in her late twenties or early thirties. She had dirty blonde hair, that was pulled into a loose braid that hung over her shoulder. She was wearing a yellow shirt, with brown trousers, suspenders, brown boots, and a light brown hat. Even under the brim of her hat you could see that she had brown eyes and a scar just above her right eye.

You just couldn't help but notice even the smaller details about her. You couldn't help but spare a few glances in her direction as you busied yourself with cleaning some used glasses.

Your attention was stolen away by somebody placing their glass down on the bar rougher than necessary. You sighed to yourself as you turned to the man, who was now glaring and waving his glass at you.

You put on a fake polite smile before walking over to him and refilling his glass and accepting his payment.

"Excuse me" the woman at the bar called for you, much politer than the man, much politer than your usual customers.

"Yes?" you asked, walking back over to her with a smile.

"Is there a gun store in town?" she asked, leaning forward against the bar.

"A gun store? Sure. It's right next to the general store, if you take a right outta here and continue down the main street you'll find it. It isn't anything fancy but has everything you should need to stock up on supplies" you told her. The saloon you worked at wasn't located in a particularly large town but it had all the necessities.

"Thanks" she nodded at you, finishing off her drink.

"You new in town then...or are you just passing through?" you asked, you definitely hadn't seen her in here before. You were certain that you would have remembered.

"I'm staying just outside of town, so the first one I guess" the woman told you, meeting your gaze properly for the first time.

"Well, welcome to town. If you need directions or anything, just ask. I'd be happy to help" you told her.

"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind" she nodded, giving you a small smile. Your breath hitched ever so slightly, her smile was beautiful.

"You want another?" you asked, gesturing to her now empty glass.
