Chapter 10
Abimbola Akachi
He was in a dark, frozen dimension. Lying on the soil with his dirty clothes, he opened his eyes. The soil was of a purple color and there was no vegetation at all. Ian stood up. Was he dead, Was he in heaven, Was he in hell were the questions that he asked himself? Suddenly, there came 5 figures who looked like humans but had an eagle's head. One of them came to him and gave him his hand and told him to get up. Ian got up with difficulty. "Ah Excuse me, sir! Could you tell me where am I currently?" He asked but they didn't answer and simply started walking. Ian thought that it would be wise to follow them and he did so, asking each of them a question but none did answer. At last, they stopped near a large red-colored boulder and there was not only one but thousands upon thousands of them. They signaled him to go near the rock. "Is this some kind of a monument?" He asked but still, none did answer. He went forward and examined the great rock very precisely. There was a think layer above it. He passed his fingers on it and then realized the ultimate truth. It was blood. Blood bled from men, women, and children and after that, all happened in a fraction of a second. One of them caught his hands while the other tore open his clothes and then shriek upon shrieks as it starting tearing open his flesh. A river of blood started flowing from his body. "What was the wrong that he had done that now he was getting punished in hell and then he thought that he was about to get the ultimate death. It seemed that he was dead.
"Officer Ian, Officer Ian wake up please wake up!" What was happening? He had sinned and he had been tortured to death. Were there more people in this place. Were they calling him to join him? He heard their sound but didn't dare to go to them. They called him for some more time after which they went away. All was well. Ian had been cleared of all his thoughts. All his problems. All his responsibilities. Responsibilities, how could he forget, his mother and father, they were alive, they needed him. He cried out "Mother, Father no!". He could see light again. It was a dream. All a dream and then he was wide awake and in front of him were the old lady and black man he had seen. "Ah! What happened to me?" he asked.
The black man answered-
"Officer Ian, I know it will be hard for you to believe but you had fallen from that building and broken a rib of yours. You had been sleeping all this time" Ian saw his chest and saw a slightly visible stitch.
"How long has it been?" He asked
"More than 2 weeks. It is the 17th of January."
"And what about the case?"
"Solved, they think that you are the culprit and they have been searching for you for days now."
"So, all that eagle thing was my operation?"
"I don't know about any eagle but I had indeed operated you 14 days ago and you are fit and fine."
"You are Abimbola Akachi aren't you?"
"I am indeed."
"And you're a bastard" Ian grunted
"And I am the person who had operated you."
"Then, who is this lady?"
"She is my mother," He told
"Lannan, you mother fudging accident. You must be getting badges right now but just wait and watch for while you must be searching for me, I will plan and conspire for I know who the criminal is and I should have known that it is someone from the interior who has been breaking down my empire and I'm not gonna leave you as An empire that Is destroyed can regrow but if it crumbles from within then it is destroyed forever. I'm gonna get to the roots of this case for sure."
