Chapter 23: 𝐿𝑜𝓈𝓉 & 𝒞𝑜𝓃𝒻𝓊𝓈𝑒𝒹

     I woke up with the worst headache. I cried for what seems like the whole night. I was so confused on what I was feeling. It's been three days since I came to the hotel and I missed Michael so much already and that scared me. Why was I feeling like this? Why was I thinking of him?

I got up to go the bathroom and as soon as I saw the toilet I felt sick again. I threw up again and now I was worried. What had me so sick. I had realized what the day was and my period was eight days late. I was so wrapped up in everything I hadn't even realized. I immediately was scared.

"No I can't be." I said to myself.

I hadn't talked to Michael since I left the house but Jackson has checked on me everyday since.

I went back out to the room to grab my phone and call Jackson.

He answered in the second ring.

"Hello Miss Brown how are you today?" He asked genuinely.

"I'm fine. Ummm if it's not to much to ask could you take me to a nearby Walgreens, there's some feminine products I need." I lied.

"Sure thing I'll be there in ten." He said before hanging up.

I jumped in the shower really fast and brushed my teeth before Jackson got there.

I took the elevator down and Jackson was waiting for me in the lobby.

"Hello Miss Brown, are you ready to go." He greeted me.

"Hey Jackson, and yes please." I responded.

We got into the car and we were at the nearest Walgreens in no time. Jackson got out to open my door and I told him he could wait in the car and that I'd be really quick. He agreed and I went into the store.

I got to the aisle with the pregnancy test and I hadn't realized that there were so many. I took out my phone and google the best pregnancy test there were to take and grabbed three off the most recommended ones.

I got to the check out line and I was next in line to ring out my items.

"Hello ma'am, would you like a bag for your items?" She said greeting me.

"Yes please."

"Alright ma'am your total would be $48.58." She said.

I hadn't realized that the test were $15 each. Oh lord even finding out your pregnant or not was expensive.

I went into my purse to pull out the cash when Jackson came out of nowhere and said...

"Here you go ma'am. You can charge it to this card." He gave her an all black card.

My face flushed red instantly. Did he see what I was buying? Oh God what if he tells Michael. I was so embarrassed and scared at the same time. If I was pregnant I wouldn't want Michael to know until I decided what I wanted to do. I mean would I keep it if I were? I was unsure.

"Alright sir." She said taking the card and charging it for my items.

"Here you go sir, and here's your bag ma'am." She said handing it to me

"Thank you." I managed to get out.

We walked out to the car and as I got in I watched Jackson as he got in the driver seat. He drove back to the hotel without speaking.

As we pulled up to the hotel he turned around before getting out to open my door.

"This may be none of my concern, but if so, I hope you would tell him." He said sincerely.

I felt a knot in my stomach. Oh no, he saw the test. I felt myself getting sick again

As I got out the car I thanked Jackson for taking me and said goodbye before heading back up. Thankfully I had to pee.
