Reader's POV

"Yatooooo!" I called out as I put my sword in its case and ran up to him.
Yato, the stray god, the poor god, the weirdo, my boyfriend.

Before he could turn back quick enough, I jumped onto his back.
"You're back," I said with a smile, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Y/n!" He said with a smile, he set me down and gave me a huge hug before spinning me around.
"I missed you so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, soooooo much!" He told me.

"Who's this?" A girl with long, dark straight hair asked as she walked over.

"This is Y/n. Y/n, Hiyori, Hiyori, Y/n," he said, letting my give her a handshake.

She gave me a smile. I looked behind her and smiled sheepishly, "Is that... your body?" I asked.

She chuckled sheepishly, "Uh, yeah," she said softly.
"Are you a God?" She then asked unexpectedly.
"Yuuup!" I told her. I knew I could trust her since Yato did.

I didn't bother to ask more about it seeing as I wanted to spend more time with Yato.

I hadn't seen him in monthsssss!
Due to doing 'godly' work I had to go to some other place far away and we didn't get to see each other.
But now, he's right in front of me!

But, spending all time with him, didn't work out well.

"Yato, let's do something fun," I said with a smile.
"Sure! Hiyori, we're gonna do something," he called out.

I tried to hide my disappointment.
I wanted to spend the day with him.
Cough cough, just him.
But I guess we can take her along.

"Whaddya wanna do?" I asked Yato with a smile.
"Hmm..." he thought about it.
"Hiyori, what do you want to do?" He asked her.

"Um... I could get you guys some food," she suggested.
"Ooo sure," Yato said, nodding eagerly.
I nodded with a smile, although it was more forced than real.

Yato and I sat next to a tree as we waited for Hiyori.
I took Yato's hand and laid my head on his shoulder.
"I love you, Yaboku," I said softly with a smile.

He looked a bit surprised seeing as I said his full name then he smiled.
"I love you too," he said with a smile.

I looked down at my lap and smiled slightly.
I might've fallen in love with an idiot, but I'm glad the idiot is him.

"I'm back!" Hiyori said causing Yato to move away from me quicker than I could imagine.

I looked at him in surprise as I fell over and on my head.
He took the bag of food from her and gave her a hug hug, "You wasted your money on me how thoughtful!" He said.

I looked down at my hands and helped myself up.
I sighed and bit my lip.

Hiyori and Yato came over to me and sat down. Yato and Hiyori in front of me sitting next to each other and me sitting alone by the tree.

I ate the food quietly as they talked to each other.
"Y/n," Hiyori called out. "Hm?" I asked, looking up.

"I've been trying to get your attention for about five minutes," she said with a chuckle.
"Oh, sorry. Yes?" I asked.

"I just wanted to ask how you're friends with such a weirdo like Yato," she said which made him glare at her.
I thought about it, "Uh well...  he saved me. I guess," I said.
