Reader's POV

I sighed as I ended the call with my boyfriend, well, now ex-boyfriend. We've been having multiple problems, he was too... possessive, abusive, way too protective... many other things. We just didn't fit.

Exactly like all my other relationships.

Now, Jiro Kyoka, she helped me through all of it. We've been friends since we were babies! I could tell her that 'I love you' without her thinking 'wth?'

We were that close. I supported her dream on being a hero and a singer.
I do a bit guitar myself too. Two peas in a pot, that's Jiro and I.
She's part of a famous band, the lead singer!

Yet... I think I might feel more for her...

Um-- Anyway! I'm going to her concert, she was famous these days. Luckily, she managed to get me front seats! I'm like V.I.P, no, I am V.I.P

I got dressed into a short dress, put my hair up, put on a bit of make-up, and did all the other necessary stuff.

I got in the limo she sent for me, "Hi, Mark," I told the driver with a smile, he waved to me with a smile before starting the car and driving off.
"Jiro told me you broke up with your boyfriend, you alright?" he asked, such a  kind soul... if he was older, maybe I would date him, but he's way too young and had a beautiful, nice girlfriend of his own.

"Of course I'm fine, he was an ass," I said making him chuckle, "He did seem like one."

Once we got there, I thanked Mark and rushed inside. I instantly went backstage. I had backstage tickets man, but aren't those for after the show? Maybe, who cares. They can't kick me out even if they tried.

I smiled as I spotted Jiro. I went up behind her and gave her a bone-crushing hug. Sure, I saw her the other day, but who cares? She jumped, "Y-Y/n? You scared me!" she exclaimed making me smile. The purple haired beauty turned to me, oh... she looked more gorgeous than gorgeous!

"Sorry," I said as I let go of her, "Are you okay? All those things with your boyfriend... You don't have scars or bruises, do you?" she asked with worry as she looked me up and down. I lifted up my sleeve, showing a bruise, "Only a few, but it's fine. I promise you," I told her. She looked unsure, biting her lip, but nodded

"You're on in two minutes!" her manager called out. Jiro's eyes widened, "Go," she mouthed to me, I nodded and ran out of the backstage to my seat.

It took a while for everything to get started, but the stage lights soon turned on, revealing the band, Jiro being in the front. There was already cheers.

"Alright! This first song is dedicated to my bestest friend in the world! And I know they are here cause I just saw them," Jiro said making me smile, she continued to talk to everyone for about a few seconds later. The song then started.

"You call me up,
It's like a broken record
Saying that your heart hurts
That you never get over him getting over you,
And you end up crying
And I end up lying,
'Cause I'm just a sucker for anything that you do

And when the phone call finally ends,
You say, "Thanks for being a friend,"
And we're going in circles again and again

I dedicate this song to you,
The one who never sees the truth,
That I can take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.
Hold you tight straight through the day light,
I'm right here, when you gonna realize
That I'm your cure, heartbreak girl?

I bite my tongue but I wanna scream out
You could be with me now
But I end up telling you what you wanna hear,
But you're not ready and it's so frustrating
He treats you so bad and I'm so good to you it's not fair.

And when the phone call finally ends
You say, "I'll call you tomorrow at 10,"
And I'm stuck in the friend zone again and again,"
I saw Jiro glance at me and my heart skipped a beat, was this really about me?

It has to be... but what am I gonna tell her? That I like her back? Is that even the meaning of this song?!

"I dedicate this song to you,
The one who never sees the truth,
That I can take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.
Hold you tight straight through the day light,
I'm right here, when you gonna realize
That I'm your cure, heartbreak girl?

I know someday it's gonna happen
And you'll finally forget the day you met him
Sometimes you're so close to your confession,
I gotta get it through your head
That you belong with me instead.

I dedicate this song to you,
The one who never sees the truth,
That I can take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.
Hold you tight straight through the day light,
I'm right here, when you gonna realize
That I'm your cure, heartbreak girl?

I dedicate this song to you,
The one who never sees the truth,
That I can take away your hurt, heartbreak girl.
Hold you tight straight through the day light,
I'm right here, when you gonna realize
That I'm your cure, heartbreak girl?"

The song ended and the room erupted in cheers. I could tell she was nervous, she wasn't shaking or anything.
But I could see it.

"Now, could Y/n L/n hop onto the stage for me?" she asked into the mic, facing me. My heart started to beat faster as I made my way to the stage. My cheeks were also burning up.

Once I got onto it and stood next to her, she turned to me with a huge smile, she gave the mic to her bandmate before talking to me.
"Y/n, I've liked you... loved you... ever since middle school. I noticed my feelings, and I just can't hide them anymore. I hate those boyfriends of yours. I just want you to tell me you feel those feelings back..." she told me, I felt my eyes widen slightly.

"So... what's in gonna be...?" she asked, I stuttered non-existing words until she put her hand on my shoudler, calming me down.

"I... I love you like that too," I told her, a beautiful smile came across her face and she turned back to everyone, "It worked!" she told them making them cheer, my eyes widened when she turned back to me, getting on her tip-toes and planting a kiss on my lips.

She pulled away, only for me to put my hand on her back, bringing her into a more passionate kiss. I felt her smile as she put her hands on my shoulders, mine on her waist.

She lifted her guitar, hiding our faces from the crowd as the curtains closed.

"I love you, my heartbreak girl/boy," she whispered before kissing my cheek.
"I love you more."
