2 months later.....

"Alf, Alf mubrook Khadijah!" Her dark hair was curled into an up-doo, she flashed a beautiful smile at me. The Nikkah ceremony had just ended, Mahir and Khadijah exchanged rings and Mahir left to the men's party.

"I can't believe my daughter is finally getting married!" Khadijah's mother, Sarah comes and hugs her daughter.

"I know right?" I grab Khady's sparkling white dress by the hem. She giggles and walks over to greet other friends.

"So when is your wedding?" Khady's mom wiggles her eyebrows at me, smirking.

"We'll it'll be after graduation," I say, covering my mouth with my hand to stifle a laugh.

"I just can't wait to see little mini Khadijahs and mini Mahirs!" Exclaims Khadijah's mom as she leaves to join Khady with her relatives. Once Sarah leaves, I'm alone at the table. I ignore the chatting and the music playing and begin to think about MY wedding. We already chose a beautiful dress, it was a long sleeved lace dress with a long train in the back and a high collar. Flashbacks of when I tried the dress on came to my mind, the rhinestone shimmering in the light of the dressing room, the white hijab was my favorite part of the outfit. It had white flowers blooming out of the sides, pearl beads etched the ends. It was perfect! Inshallah, I will look at least half as amazing as Khadijah did today for her wedding.
Zaria walks over to me.

"You look lonely," She smiles and takes a seat beside me. She isn't wearing a hijab either, her black hair is held in a ponytail with strands of loose hair falling out. Her black kohl stands out on her white face. I stare at her for a while before I reply.

"Oh, I'm not lonely, I was just thinking to myself." I smile down at my tan flats.

"What were you thinking about, was it Hussen?" She snickers at my facial expression when I heard his name. I shake my head giggling.

"I was thinking of my wedding dress." She nods at me. She knows what the dress looked like, she actually joined me at the fitting and when we were searching for a dress.

"It really was a beautiful dress." She says smiling. Zaria's younger sister Rahma rushes to our table.

"Come on bagi, we have to leave right now." Zaria and Rahma say their salams to me and leave the wedding hall.

When I reached home no one was still awake, everyone including my Ummi was fast asleep. I slowly crept upstairs and closed the door of my room behind me to change. The dress I was wearing was itching, so I was really relieved to peel the dress off of my body. As I peel my tight off, my phone buzzes. Hussen's name pops up on the screen of my phone. I pick up the phone wondering what he would want at this time.

"Asalamualakum Hussen," I say

"Wa alakumusalam Zainub, I'm very sorry for calling so late. My mom forgot to tell your mom that the wedding date has been changed again. It'll be a week after graduation." I smile as he talks, I really didn't like how they made the wedding closer to graduation. "I just wanted to know if you're okay with the new date,"

"Yes, the new date is a lot better and more convenient now, thank you for telling me." The awkward conversation ends with our salams.
I lay down on my right side on my bed, just like how the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) did. My eye lids become heavy very quickly and sleep takes over my body.
