Ya nabi salam alyka! Ya rusul salam alyykaa!
Maher Zain nasheeds blasted through my iPhone as I cleaned my room.
With submission, faith, and patience, you convey your noble message.
Soft knocking intruppeted my cleaning session.
"Na'am?! Vat iz it you can't?" I asked the person behind the door in my fob accent, as I turned the nasheed off.
"I just wanna come in," the voice belonged to my little brother. Asim. I opened the door to reveal my only brother staring at the floor shyly.
"Come sit down," I opened the door wider so he could enter. Gesturing for him to sit on the edge of my bed. I plopped down beside Asim. "Okay, spill. What's the water?" I reached to hold his cold slender hands.
"Well, nothing is going on. I just wanted to talk to you." Asim looked up at me and smiled his crooked smile.
"Its haram to lie. I know that you aren't here just to chat, you want something or some advise. Right?" I wiggled my finger at him disapprovingly.
"Heh," Asim laughed uneasily. "You caught me Zainub, I came to say..." He took a deap breath. "I'm really gonna miss you when you live with Hussen. It'll be really loney here at home." I suddenly hugged Asim. I could tell he was surprised, but he slowly hugged me back.
"I might not be physically here, but I'll always have you in my heart, and you me." I pulled back from the hug and placed a small kiss on Asim's left cheek.
"Asim, inshallah, Allah will allow us to see each other again. I will inshallah visit you guys, and if I some how never see you in the dunya..." I paused to wipe the tears forming at the rim of my eyes. "Then inshallah, if we both become strong in our deen, we will see each other in Jannah." I embraced him again. And we sat there, hugging, for a very long time.
Salam!! Sorry that the chapter was, again, short, next time inshallah I'll make it a lot longer. So how do you guys feel about seeing this new side of Asim? I think my next book will be about either the Husub (Zainub&Hussen) children or Asim's love story.
