"Where are they? I can't wait to see the look on their faces."  My son chuckles. He has change so much. I thought he was dead, but apparently he was training with Ares, Hades, Hera, Hesita, and Artemis. His eyes held a odd look, probably from meeting Chaos. As bad as it sounds, Perseus is probably the only person capable of meeting him and staying sane, let alone staying alive. He had lost that innocent look, the mirth that filled his eyes. He was now blood thirsty, itching for another war. When he glanced at me, nothing. No recognition or love like they used to. But when he glanced back at Hera, Hestia, or Artemis, I could see the old him back, even if it is only a little bit. I was a mix of emotions, like a salad.
I'll admit that I'm confused. Why would my brother help my son? Or a man hater? Hera's motherly acts to him is what surprised me the most. She usually hates demigods, despises them. But the caring look in her eyes contradict my theory. Maybe because she doesn't have her own demigod child to care after, or because Percy had this way with people. Even now, with his dark aura, he had this reassurance about him. Like if he was on your side, nothing could go wrong. His aura was now as strong as most gods, even mine or my brothers.
When he grinned at the prospect of war, that was what scared me. He used to grieve at the word war, yet here he is, smiling like we're talking about taking a walk in the park. His positive attitude surprised me. How could one be glad for war? Doesn't he realize that war brings death and pain? I guess that I wouldn't understand him now, no one would. He had changed, and I'm not sure if I like it. Sure I was happy he was alive, but he acted so different than before, more mature in a dark way.
"Percy," Artemis began, smiling slightly, "We have time. Be patient, my friend. When we hunt them down, we will make sure to strike terror in their hearts, just as they have to others. They will all remember what we did to their kind the first time, and run in fear. Alas, we have to wait for the perfect opportunity to strike." She was smirking by the end of her speech, looking more deadly then I have ever seen her. Percy met her gaze straight on. They looked to be having a silent conversation. At the same time they smiled, like everything was right in the world.
Percy looked back at his 'patrons', which I still had a hard time believing, and nodded. He swiftly and quietly strode to Artemis and placed a hand on her shoulder. Before anyone could talk, they both disappeared into thin air.
Ares went to work straight away, ordering me to make a thin mist. I was still to shocked to do much, so I obliged without much thought. Ares started to chant a sound, and was joined by his mother as she walked up to him. The words weren't one I was familiar with. They sounded ancient almost. The mist expanded until it was taking shape of a square. In the scene was Percy and Artemis. They were talking to the Hunters, who actually looked pleased at the sight of Percy, not disgusted. What had my child been up to these past years?
After a few more words were exchanged, Percy and Artemis went again. They ended up in a house. Their was beer cans, wrappers, and blood stains covering the carpets. Whimpers were heard from within, and angry roars. What surprised me was that the place looked familiar. The house was blurred slightly, so I couldn't make out much details other then messy. I did see a dead body laying on the floor. And for the first time, I saw anger on Percy's face. So much anger nearly everyone winced or cringed. He looked livid. Artemis was trying to calm him, and it did work a little, but he was still angry.
Just then, a figure of a man came from the hallway, dragging a girl with sea blue eyes and dark brown hair. She couldn't be older then five. The poor girl looked black and blue, almost dead. At the sight of her, Percy face went emotionless, but his aura was anything but calm. He went back to the livid state, but this time it was worse. He slowly stalked towards the man, that I could now see was Sally's, my mortal love, husband. Paul something. Except he looked different. Sad, angry, and ridden with grief. It was obvious that he was different now, not the same. When he saw Percy, he paled considerably, before going red with anger.
"What are you doing here?" He spat.
"Hand over Sophia and I won't kill you painfully." Percy replied seriously. His eye was twitching every now and then. I was actually scared for the man, but I shook the thought from my mind. He was obviously abusing a young girl.
"No." He managed to say, before he was knocked down by Percy. Artemis quickly snatched up the girl and tried to stop the bleeding of her cuts. Percy however, looked like an avenging angel, standing above the pig kicking him. Soon, Percy went at him with his fists, punching him like a demon. Paul had no chance at defending himself as Percy went full force into his attacks.
In no time at all, but also felt like hours, a hand appeared on his shoulder, stopping his movements. Despite the beating he was giving, he wasn't even breathing heavy. Percy got up silently and turned around. He breathed in deeply before going to Sophia. She was in the corner asleep, although I didn't understand how because most would have woken up from the cries of pain coming from the man on the floor. Artemis kicked him once more before walking over to where Percy was healing the girl.
Percy looked up as Artemis crouched next to them. He had Sophia in his arms, bridal style, and his hands were glowing a warm orange and white, like Hestia when she heals. From the corner of my eye, I say Hestia smile fondly at the picture of Percy healing someone. Artemis moved some of the hair out of the girl's eyes before cursing softly.
"Where are you going to take her?" She asked Percy, looking up at him gently.
He sighed, regretfully. "I was wondering if you could take her in, with the hunters I mean. I would feel better knowing that my sister was in better care then at one of those camps. Plus, I don't think she wants to go hang out with any male right now." He stated thoughtfully.
Artemis seemed to agree. Before anything else could happen, Artemis flashed them back at the Hunters camp, in one of the main tents. Percy seemed familiar with the layout of it, and laid her in a seemingly empty bed. Artemis sat next to the bed, grabbing her hand gently. Percy suddenly got up and walked to the exit.
"Where are you going?" Artemis asked, "I thought you would like to see her when she woke."
"I do, but right now," He directly at the screen, "I have other things to deal with, mainly things that have to do with Ares and pain."
Ares gulped noisily, and smiled nervously into the screen, which seemed to only make Percy more annoyed. Percy disappeared from the screen and reappeared in front of us, scaring some of the gods. Percy didn't look at anyone but Ares.
He raised an eyebrow. "You never learn, do you?" He said before dragging Ares out by his shirt, and going in the direction of the war god's temple.
