What Happened?

The gods didn't know what to do. They just saw Perseus dragging a frightened war god out of the throne room and towards his palace. Nearly the whole of Olympus was quiet, apart from Hera and Hestia who were chuckling. Many of the minor gods had seen how Ares was treated and became quiet.

It wasn't too long until cries of pain were heard. Sometimes there was pleas, other times there was just cries. It wasn't too long until a bright flash entered the throne room, scaring most of the gods. Ares, who was now on the floor in a fatal position, was currently nearly beaten to death. His face was not recognizable any more.

Most gods were expecting Hera to blow up, but she just smiled at Perseus warmly. "Did you get him good?" She asked, mischievously. Perseus chuckled and nodded.

"That will hopefully teach him to stop spying on us." Zeus was too shocked to blast the boy for nearly killing his immortal son. But as he looked at his wife, who was staring at the inchor covered boy with a motherly smile, he couldn't bring himself too. It was obvious that she loved the dark boy as a son. Zeus had never seen her smile like that, or look so happy. He secretly vowed to try to keep it that way, because as much as his actions prove wrong, he loved his wife dearly.

Poseidon on the other hand looked to be in shock. He would never thought that Percy would hurt someone just because they were spying on them. Then again, his son had been surprising them lately. The more he saw of this new Percy, the more he was confused.

Perseus crouched down next to the war god and placed a hand on his back. He muttered a quick prayer as his hands glowed with warmth. Many of the gods looked in awe as the glow filled them with hope, even though they weren't even touching. Much to the disbelief of others, Ares bloodied body cleared up.

Just as he was finishing the process of healing, Artemis flashed in to see what was taking Perseus so long. When she saw that Ares was in the process of being healed, she couldn't help but laugh at the sight. It was obvious that Ares had done something again and Perseus was dealing with his punishment.

"Perseus?" Artemis called. He hummed in reply, still concentrating on his task. "She is starting to stir. I believe she would be more comfortable with you there. She is still a bit traumatized of the events that have happened in the past few months. She may not cooperate without you there."

Many gods were confused about who the girl was and what their connection was. Perseus grew tense as he finished the healing. He didn't want to deal with this now, not when he was already having to reveal himself. He was lucky that he hadn't be asked any more questions. Percy was believing that it was just the shock of seeing him alive and that he was associated with Chaos.

But when he saw the looks of curiosity, he cursed. He knew that this would be the end of silence by the gods. He also knew that they wanted to know about the girl, but he would be damned if he let anyone in this room, save his patrons, even look at her. She was too special to him.

Artemis had understood the look on his face. He had hardened his features, making it look like he was annoyed yet bored at her. She was going to console him like usual, but she glanced back at her father and brother, the two of which were very protective of her. She cursed for the first time, making that oath of never being in the company of men, even as a friend. Because she knew that she was harboring feelings for this boy, no man. She just didn't know if it is returned by Percy. She had never felt this uneasy about something, and that worried her.

Percy glanced at Artemis, seeing her internal conflict and smiled at her reassuringly.

"Tell her the password and say that I will be their soon. If she freaks, you know how to get me. Just make sure she is alright and don't intimidate her in any way. She's sensitive like that." Many thought that Artemis would snap at being ordered, but she simply nodded with a grin.

"Sir, yes, sir!" She mockingly saluted. Perseus rolled his eyes, with a faint smile playing at his lips. Apollo saw the way that his sister was looking at him. He opened his mouth to intervene, but as he looked at the young man in front of him, he felt himself hesitate. You could nearly feel the protectiveness and caring attitude towards Artemis. Not only that, but he seemed to only show Artemis his real side. If he was with the other gods, he would be emotionless. Even with his other patrons, he acted kind and polite, but never showed what he did to Artemis. Apollo could see the love in his eyes. It was like Percy knew that he loved her and that Artemis liked him back, but was waiting for her if she wanted to take the next step. That was all the convincing that Apollo needed, because one who was able to wait for over 5 years for a girl that he loved, then he truly loved her.

And as he looked at his father, he could see that his father had just the same internal battle. The same feelings, hesitation, and conclusion. They would leave them be, but if he screwed up majorly, the would kill him.

Unknown to them, Percy was unconsciously listening. He had picked up strong feelings in the room and sought out the two gods minds. And to say he was thankful, was an understatement. Because if you looked close enough, not only had his eyes start to gain a little more sparkle, but a weight he never knew had lifted from his shoulders. He was the happiest he had been in awhile.
