~~~Artemis~~~
Telling Chiron about what has transpired with Percy was a drag. He would continuously interrupt me, question me, and after I finished, wouldn't believe me. When he was going over it for the tenth time, I walked out. I guess Percy's new behaviour has been rubbing off on me. It was such a Percy thing to walk out when someone was talking.
The girls were currently out, and by the sounds of the pain filled cries, shooting some ridiculous males. We were all waiting patiently for Perseus to arrive so we could start training. He was the best fighter I had ever met, and was one of the hardest to beat. Even then I could see him holding back, trying not to hurt me. This would usually annoy me, but I know that is isn't because he thinks I'm weak, but because he cares. Cares about my health.
The horn blew in the distance, what signalled lunch. I was getting worried for Percy now. He was usually back by the next morning, with the time difference and stuff, yet we are still to hear of him. None the less, I walk towards that pavilion. Everyone, even my Hunters, were seated. They all started to bow but I waved them off. I hated feeling like I'm better then every one else, something that Percy and I both have in common.
I sat down at the end of the Hunt's table, still lost in thought. I was halfway through picking at my lunch, when I felt Perseus' presence come. I looked up to see him with a stressed out expression on his face, one that I see a lot. Most of the campers openly gawk at him, especially the younger ones, but he takes no mind. He walks towards our table and around to me, before suddenly dropping and wrapping his arms around my waist and rested his head on my lap.
Gasps elicited from the campers, probably not used to Percy and I having physical contact. But he sat there, not noticing. I realized that his shoulders were shaking, and that I hadn't responded yet. I quickly hug him back, also falling to the floor.
Percy lift his head, showing red eyes with no tears. I brush his hair out of his eyes.
"What ails you my Guardian?" I ask softly, worried about him. He never showed this much emotion with other people, especially the campers.
"Her condition," He replies, and I knew instantly who he was talking about. "She nearly forgot who I was. Her condition is getting worse and, and..." He trails off by biting his lip. "I'm scared Arty. I'm scared that if she fades, I will have more responsibility put on me, meaning less time with my patrons, my adoptive mother. The Hunt, but mainly you. I can't lose you. People wonder why they have not seen Chaos since, well ever. It's because she doesn't have time. And I worry that it would be me that is missing everyone next. I can't lose you, Moonshine." He replies, while looking into my eyes. Then he repeats in English, "I can't lose you. And I know that it sounds selfish compared to what she is going through, but I can't help it, Arty. I just can't lose you, Moonshine." He rest his forehead onto mine, fear clear in his eyes as he pronounces the last words slowly.
I place my hands on both cheeks, and smile softly and reassuringly, ignoring that surrounding demigods and other beings that surround us. "Don't worry about that. I will make sure you never forget us, nor patrons. Heck, we will beat the crap out of you so you don't forget. I know that you have duties as a prince, but I also know that you would always see us in your free time. We love you Perseus, never forget that. We don't care that you might not be with us as long as we want, it just makes your visits more precious and important. More worthy."
Truth be told, I was just as scared as him, but I had to be strong for him. He has enough on his plate then to reassure me.
He sighed and kissed my forehead gently. My skin prickled, and goosebumps covered my arms. I loved the feeling of his lips on me. I would even dream about him kissing my lips, that is if gods could actually dream.
