Hanji's POV
I was overjoyed to hear that we were gonna explore the castle- in stealth mode! I never thought that Levi would be such a bad boy. My heart pounded as soon as we reached the cold depths of the basement. Everything was once again, covered in dust. Papers were scattered all over the place- and there was this stack of papers. I felt my eyes widening open as I looked over all the papers.
"Whoa... look at that! All this old... research!" I chuckled softly, blowing the dust off. "Long time ago, they wouldn't have the technology as we do! But these research tells me otherwise! They had so much equipment and planning for advance technology that we couldn't even think of!"
"You're interested in research?"
Words didn't have to be said... her smile said it all. How her eyes glinted everywhere she looked at. "L-Look! They had these swords! Swords attached to their gear! Certain gas to propel them everywhere they go! These wires may be thin and small... but they hold so much weight and pressure!"
"So... they had to fight something... and they used gas to fly around?"
"Whatever they had to fight, they needed to fly around with it."
"With the gas? Like... jet packs?"
I laughed softly when I saw more research papers. "Not exactly. They had some sort of... gas cylinder on their backs, so that it would release gas. Connected to that cylinder, on the hips, there are these coiled up wires that when triggered, they would spring out and attach onto objects. Then, once triggered again, it would coil back up, bringing the person forward towards the object. Then... there are these boxes for their swords! It holds up to 8 blades total! I wonder what they were fighting to have such blades..."
"You're not gonna stop until you you find answers, huh?" Levi says with a small chuckle. "Wow...."
My eyes continued to look around the research. Seeing things about these... thunder spears and guillotines that used to hang on these walls. All of these technologies were meant to fight some being... and I wonder what creatures they fought.
"Oi... look at this." I then looked up to see him holding some sort of blades with handles attached to them. He cleaned off the dust off of them, and they looked almost perfect. "I'm sure they won't overreact, huh?"
I smiled gently, "Can you get that off the property?"
"Please." He says with a smirk. "I'm sure we can, but... we can't keep them in our dorms. We all have roommates."
"What if... we both moved out of our dorms... and rented an apartment?"
"That's fine..." Levi says softly, "But... I think we should know each other a bit more, huh?" He says gently, putting the blades down. He then walks over to me, almost in an intimidating way. "What do you say about that, Hanji? Wanna go on a date with me tonight?"
A date... that was something I hardly ever given.
"Well?"
"Of course... I-I'll go on a date with you..."
"Good." He then pecks another kiss on my cheek. "Can't wait to talk to you tonight- and actually answer your door. I'll come to you around... 7. We good?"
I nodded my head nervously, and almost shaken up. "Y-Yeah... I-I'll be ready..."
* * *
"Oh my goodness!" I winced when I heard that annoying girl's voice: Kelly. "A-Are you asking me out, t-transfer student?"
I hated to hear her, but... I had to. She had to know about me liking Hanji better than some annoying girl. "I'm gonna ask you something- just not asking you out on a date."
I watched the fear fill up her eyes, and it made me happy. She's knowing that I don't have my eyes on her- but only on Hanji. "W-What is it...?"
"You like bullying Hanji? Forcing her to give up her own interests so you can have your own way? Not on my watch. My eyes are on her and her only. If I hear another peep from Hanji about you... I'm gonna have her take revenge. If you try to hurt her, she's protected by me. Don't you dare hurt her."
She whimpers softly, but nodded her head in agreement.
"Good. Stay away from her- as much as possible." I then walk away with a smile on my face... because I knew that Hanji didn't have to be under so much pressuring she wanted to date me.
