I woke up with the sun lighting up the whole room. I was convinced that this would be a long day, I was now eighteen and— nothing felt different.
I wasn't really thinking that it would be different, like I don't feel more mature. I was hungry so I decided to go down to eat something.
As I was just going to put my feet on the floor someone suddenly opened the door with a great speed.
With panic I jumped back on the bed and pulled the blanket over my body.
„Rise and shine sweetheart!" Jennie announced and jumped up on the bed.
„Jennie! you scared me! Why are you here so early?" I said angrily and threw the blanket over her.
She put the blanket at the end of the bed and looked at me with a sad face.
„And I who thought that you wanted my help with today... I already made some yummy breakfast but I can throw it awa-"
„No No! Your help is perfect, you are an angel! Now let's eat!" I started to run to the kitchen but Jennie shouted at me
„Maybe you should put on some normal clothes first?!" I looked in from behind the door frame and smiled at her.
„It's my birthday and I want to wear my nightgown the whole morning!" After I said that I winked at her and continued running to the kitchen.
„Aish, this boy..."
I was close to falling several times but finally I got in the kitchen. When I saw what was on the counter, I immediately fell in love.
„Jennie, this is the best you have ever made for me!" I took out a fork, leaned my back on the counter and started eating.
I couldn't see Jennie until now when she got into the kitchen.
„Calm down, you might choke!" Jennie said as I rolled my eyes and continued eating, she really underestimate my ability to eat.
With food still in my mouth I turned my head to Jennie—
„When should we go and get our meat?" It came out just like some mumbling but like a miracle she still understood what I said.
„I met the butcher before I got here, he said that it would be ready to pick up at 1am" Jennie said, I nodded and stuffed the last pieces in my mouth.
„But there is one thing you should know..." She unexpectedly added. I quickly looked at her and raised one eyebrow.
„W-what is it?" I got myself ready for the worst.
„Well, he also said that he can't be there before 3am so we have to meet Jaebeom. Either he will find out that he isn't your mate, or he will have a happy surprise"
