I didn't go. I didn't have that type of access to 100 galleons. Why would I bring 100 galleons to school? The person who wrote that letter knows though... They know about me.
I continued going through my school day. Potions with Sevly first. He's hiding something behind his cold snarl. I don't trust him. Not because he favors his house, or the fact that he yells at people for no reason. He just seems... off.
Then I had transfiguration with McGonagall. I still don't like her much. She always glances in my direction, thinking I was about to stand up and kill everyone in the room. Then I had charms with Flitwick. He's is so nice to all his students, praising them and giving them points for doing something correct. Then came History of Magic with Binns. Boring! Next I had herbology with Professor Longbottom. I've heard the stories from other kids about his time in school with Harry Potter and his heroic deeds during the war. Then I had Muggle Studies last. Yes, I, the daughter of Voldemort wants to learn about Muggles. I told Lucius I was taking Divination and Runes, while I take Runes and Muggle Studies. How can I hate something I know nothing about?
That night I fell into a peaceful sleep, not expecting what was to come in the morning.
I woke 20 minutes after breakfast started. I was late! I took a quick shower, dressed in my school robes, and walked into the common room which was already empty by now. Darn it! Why didn't Rose or Molly wake me up!?! I rushed down to the Great Hall as fast as I could walk without running. I wanted to eat at least a piece of toast before I had to leave for classes.
I opened the doors to the Great Hall, and instead of being greeted by the usual shouting of the morning people trying to annoy all the people still half asleep, I was greeted with whispers. No one noticed me come in. I squeezed next to Teddy and Rose. Molly was sitting next to Teddy, with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco sitting on the other side of the table.
"What's happened?" I asked, grabbing some toast.
"Read this," Harry said, passing me the new version of the Daily Prophet.
Placing my toast on the plate in front of me, I read, with all of their eyes on me.
The Dark Lady Has Returned
Sixteen years ago He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named was defeated by Harry Potter. At the time, we had all believed that he was now just a memory. Until now.
A source that wished to go unnamed has reached out to us and shared a piece of information about You-Know-Who that many wish is a joke. He was said to have a daughter with a death eater whom is unknown. At first, we suspected it was with Bellatirx Lestrange, being the most loyal Death Eater, but we have been told that it was with an unknown Death Eater, killed after delivering the child.
The child is said to be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall). She was raised with an unknown Death Eater, but all we know is that she is dangerous. And with the Golden Trio staying at Hogwarts this year, could this all just be a plan to weaken them? The Minister has declined comment as well as Headmaster McGonagall. Beware, my friends. The Dark Lady can help the Dark Lord rise again!
I looked up, shocked. I could tell I was pale. How could someone know???
"Are you okay, Amber? You look pale..." Teddy pointed out.
"Oh... erm, yeah. I'm fine... It's just that Voldemort killed my mum..." I wasn't lying...
"I know how that feels..." Harry muttered.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine," Hermione said after giving Harry a glare. Draco shot me a sympathetic look.
I wasn't scared of my father. He should be scared of me. I just didn't want anyone to know... If they did, I'll need all the help I can get...
A/N Sorry for not uploading in a while... Enjoy, as always!
