-Aubrey's POV-
"How?" I asked Parker as what he said registered.
"You showed that he wasn't invincible," Parker tried to explain. "His reputation was built on how he was the best fighter there was. But then some little girl came in and kicked him out in under a minute."
"B-but I still don't understand--"
"Aubrey you have to trust me," Parker's voice matches the pain in his eyes. "there are things you know and that I know and they aren't all the same."
"Well then why don't you explain," I pulled out of his arms and stood on my own. "How do you have all these? Why do you know so much?"
"Aubrey I can't--" he's cut off mid second by a knock at the door. Parker stiffens and looks to me wide eyed and puts one finger to his lip telling me not to say anything. "Who is it?" He yells.
"Parker it's me," an unfamiliar voice rings through the door and Parker goes completely white.
"Oh okay give me a second," he yells and the grabs me by the shoulders roughly. "Go hide in the coat closet." he whispered so barely I heard it and I have him and confused look but his glare was enough to send me running.
I nodded and quickly stepped away from him and hid in the closet in the entrance to the living room. The closet was completely dark and cramped but I fit in there fine.
"Hey what's up?" I heard Parker say and I absentmindedly leaned my ear to the door to hear the response.
"I just wanted to see my little messenger bird was doing," the voice said and I heard the shuffling of walking. "I see you still haven't delivered these to that little Winston bitch," the voice sneered and I had to clap my mouth over my hand to stop myself from making a sound.
Winston Bitch.
"Bitchy Winston,"
"Yeah I was gonna try to have them to her while she was at school cause I knew that would scare the crap out of her but she wasn't in today." Parker's voice sounded cool and collected, the totally opposite from the look that were in his eyes before.
"Just make sure it gets delivered Dandon," Brody sighed using Parker's last name and I could hear my heart beating frantically in my ears.
"I will Brody I'm gonna deliver it later," Parker said casually. "That bitch is a friend of Jakes she trusts me."
"She better," I heard the bangs of their footsteps and it took all my self control to keep myself from breathing too loud and giving up my hiding spot.
"Come on Brody," Parker laughed and I can just imagine him slapping that bastard on the arm like he's known him since birth. "Have I failed you or Kenneth?" He asked and I heard that son of a bitch laugh.
"Yeah I know Dandon you haven't but you never know," Brody let out a laugh then sighed. "I shouldn't be telling you this but since your my friend I will," Friend? "Kenneth thinks there's a rat working against him."
"Why would he think that?"
"Because he thinks that someones helping Aubrey out," he said and my heart literally stopped.
Parker no...
"Psst who the hell would want to help that little brat?" I can just picture Parker waving him off like he's nothing as I hear Brody sigh.
"I don't know but you know Kenneth he's paranoid," The two of them fall into a bit of silence for a scone before Brody diminished it. "Hey who's cars out there I've never seen it?" Brody asked and my eyes snapped open.
