Out of nowhere, on this Sunday afternon, I get a text. I jump up at the sound of my phone going off. Harry, who has joined me for a lazy day, laughs at me, from the couch.

"Wonder who that is," he trills, giggling at my eagerness to get to my phone.

It's from exactly who I wanted to hear from.

"Harry fucking Styles! I need your help!" I scream, my body already beginning to be engulfed in nerves.

Harry walks into my room, a smirk on his face. "Need help getting ready for your date?"

"How'd you know?" I ask, suddenly questioning if Zayn was put up to it.

"'Cause Zayn's been texting me and Lou nonstop about when to ask you, and what you like to eat, and if you like flowers, and all this romantic shit that I don't care about," Harry laughs.

"God, he's adorable. Well, what should I wear?"

"Jeans and a sweater?"

"Seriously, Harry, this is a date. I can't show up looking like I do every other day. And I only have ten minutes."

"Better hurry up then," he shrugs, turning on his heels and walking back out of my room.

Why is he even my best friend, if he doesn't even help me out when I need it?

to: blondie

do you know what zayn likes?

from: blondie

well, you. he likes you a lot.

to: blondie

I quickly search my closet for a sweater and leggings, finding my zebra stripe sweater first. It's cute enough, yeah? Yeah, especially on short notice.

I take my hair out of the braid I've kept it in, leaving it in loose, beachy waves. I quickly powder my face, and swipe on eyeliner and mascara. I have enough time to grab my purse and my phone, before there is a knock at the front door.
